This machine is wonderful. I agree with others that there is a learning curve from the original expression. The Expression 2 seems to cut smoother and quieter than the others. I should have opened with this: I have owned all the Cricut Cutting Machines. I still own my baby bug, and I use it at school with my Gypsy.

Image Repeat Issue, 5/4/2012

I haven't been able to use my cricut that often yet, but when I tried to repeat an image it ended up overlapping the second row on the first row. I don't know why it would do that...Has this happen to anyone else? I will also say the machine is pretty loud too and I did see a comment about that before so I knew that before I got it of course wasn't sure exactly how loud. Since I have a small child I have to do things when he's sleeping so I would have to close myself off in a seperate room. The screen is smaller than I thought too. It's a bit difficult to see the font and images. So far that's all I've noticed.

As a current owner of a Create, E1 and Cricut Mini I can say this cuts beautifully. No need to connect to the computer, although the Cricut Craft Room is a great tool too. The machine helps you to adjust the pressure and everything else. On my first cut all the images came out perfect. If you own an Expression 1, then this is better. If you don't own a machine and can afford this one, this is the one!

after owning the first cricut, the cricut expression. I had to have the newest the CE2...I am very disappointed. This machine is too much work compared to the orginal expression. Sure there are some cool new features with the digital screen. But too many steps just to make a cut or two. And whats up with the racket it makes...too loud! I hate that you must push cut like 4 times before you can cut. And why cant you give us some idea what it digital icon does? Like I have to get the manual out to simply adjust the size, etc. Just more work that its worth for me. I can cut from my original expression in a flash, where the same cuts with the expression 2 take 3 minutes longer. I did a side by side comparrison with a friend, and making 10 cut flowers, on each machine took 3 more minutes with the expression...I have sent my expression on to someone who never experienced the original...and does not realized how much work the E2 really is...to them its the best thing in the world... I say if you are just wanting to die cutting,then just save your money, and get the Expression. Spend that extra money on new cartridges!

I'm now on my second E2 machine- love it when it works, but it keeps shutting down in the middle of a project- causing me to start the entire project over. I probably won't replace this one- just get a refund.

This is my 3rd cricut expression, first Expression 2. This machine has pros and cons. I like the fact you can see exactly where you can cut on the paper. But I agree with others, this machine is slow. It takes too much time to just get it to cut anything. Too many screens to go through and each screen you have to wait for all the images to load on each screen. Which if you have a full page of items to cut, it takes forever.

I recently purchased the Expression 2 machine as a college graduation gift to myself and I love it. Being new to the whole Cricut scene, I am learning how to use my new machine in ways I have never dreamed possible. I love the Cricut Craft Rroom as well and have already purchased two additional digital cartridges. I would wholly recommend this product to any new or current Cricut user.

I bought my Expression 2 on Black Friday 2011. I didn't take it out of the box until last month. Despite the initial set-up and instruction booklets being a little cumbersome for a first-time user such as myself, I really LOVE my Expression 2 and the Cricut Craft Room! Yes, I must admit it definitely was a bit frustrating getting started. But finally after several hours of research and many failed attempts I was able to install the drivers and download the updates. Now my E2 is working perfectly fine (with Windows 7). I love it for all of my scrapbooking and card making projects. I will never buy another Hallmark card again!

My husband gave me the E2 anniversary edition for Christmas and I love it. Using it with the Cricut Craft Room is so easy. I love it and won't use anything else!
