By Provo Craft®. 2 mats per package, the Cricut® cutting mat has a tacky surface to hold paper in place. Using both mats allows you to cut one thing while working on another. Mats last 25-40 full mat cuts depending on paper used. Never try to use a spray adhesive with these mats or your Cricut® machine. Doing so would void its warranty.

12 x 24 Cutting Mats, 5/4/2012
By Jean B-H, Crescent City, IL
I recently purchased a pkg of 12 x 24" mats from Provo Craft. Much to my surprise, after using each mat only 3 times, I cannot even keep the plastic sheets on -- to keep the dust and lint from settling onto the mats! Rough them after use??? I scrape the unused bits from the mats! Run them under water after use??? Give me a break!!! Once again, Cricut and Provo Craft have "ceased to amaze me"!

MATS!!, 2/12/2012

All I can say is bring back the old ones! I buy a few at a time, and I bought 16 and I couldn't believe my paper didn't stick even the first time...let alone the second or third. Not worth buying a mat every two cuts. Will purchase a different machine.

I recently purchased mats last week. Ive used it 10x and it has already lost its hold on the paper. I have kept the plastic sheet on when not in use. Not happy w this product what so ever.

new cutting mats, 1/27/2012

I have used and been very pleased with your cutting mats UNTIL you changee them. Now they do not hold their position nearly as well as the old kind. I have ruined many of my greeting cards because the paper slips! How do I get hold of the old ones?

The larger mats come with a thinner protective plastic cover which makes it more difficult to place it back on the mat without getting wrinkles.

Works great!, 12/5/2011

I don't understand the problem; the mats work perfectly fine for me, and I've used them to cut multiple sheets of vinyl! If you have a problem with the adhesive losing tackiness, just run warm water over it for a minute & let dry. Or use a plastic scraper to roughen up the mat. Maybe the other reviewers aren't replacing the plastic cover to keep out lint & dust?

I would agree I would like to see the old mats back they lasted a lot longer what did the company do. I do not understand you had a great product so why did you mess with it. Now thicker paper does not stick as well. : (

If you own an expression, you need this product, 7/5/2011

This is awesome and allows you to place vinyl designs on glass, walls and mirrors. I have even created a stencil to etch my bathroom mirror. The joy with this is you can cut up to 24". If you want to use paper, you can purchase the special 24" paper that only cricut sells, so it cuts one big design and you don't have to piece it together like you would with two 12 X 12 sheets

12-24 Mats, 7/1/2011

I do not like the new mats. The adhesive is not as good as the old mats. I find that I can only use the mats 2 or 3 times. Not a good value for the money.
