I used the Simple Cards cartridge to create the front then dressed up the center area with 6 Martha Stewart pearls. The Irish colleen was created with the Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge and Peachy Keen Stamps with the Martha Stewart butterfly punch to finish the left lower corner. I added the easel from the Fancy Frames cartridge, to the back of the card. I wanted to stand the card on a shelf and the easel from Fancy Frames is perfect. I love the easel cut on the Fancy Frames cartridge. The Simple Cards Cartridge is really easy to work with and very versatile.

CRICUT ®: WHAT WAS USED

OTHER MATERIALS NEEDED

  • Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch
  • Martha Stewart Fine Tip Glue Pen
  • Peachy Keen Stamp
  • Martha Stewart Pearls
  • HeroArts rubber stamp

STEP-BY-STEP How-TO INSTRUCTIONS

I cut a piece of blue card stock paper to make the size 8" long by 5 1/2" wide. With the Cricut Expression I cut the Card 2 and Card 2 Insert from the Simple Cards Cartridge at 5 1/2".
The Irish colleen was cut from Paper Doll Dress Up at 5 1/2" but her hair, dress and shoes were cut at 4 3/4" because when I cut them at 5 1/2" they seemed a little too big.
I used the Lattice cut found on the Creative Cards cartridge to design a frame to hold the picture of the sunrise. I used three of the left over cuts from Cards 2 cut on three corners around the picture. I used the Martha Stewart butterfly punch to finish the final corner on the picture.
On the back of the card I placed the easel that I cut from the Fancy Frames cartridge and I cut the heart from the Doodlecharms cartridge.
I used the "HeroArts.com" rubber stamp to finish the back with the phrase "Handmade from the Heart".
