There are many options for ways for people to feel crafty- traditional means like needles and thread and yarn and hooks. At Cricut, we thought it our place to research where the line between handmade and technology blurred. We found some fascinating data:

  • The median age people say they start crafting is 17.
  • People in our study under 35 are spending nearly $1,000 a year on craft supplies-- that's nearly twice as much as folks over 35.
  • Most people we surveyed say they craft the majority of their time for the holidays, which helps them feel creative.

Which we are all for. We love holidays, too, and we love even more that there are so many people who want to feel creative and that they are acting on it!

Here's to the craftiest holiday season yet!
