Hello all! I'm hoping someone can help me. I just took my Cricut Create out of the box and wanted to do some test cuts. I just cut out the Ladybug from the Home Decor cartridge and I had my create set to a blade depth of 4, Speed of 3 and pressure set on 3. I am using Recollections Cardstock paper 65lb, 4.5" x 6.5". After cutting out the base, I saw that the ladybug shape is on the mat. Did I ruin the mat or is that supposed to happen? Please HELP!!! Confused

You didn't ruin the mat! BigGrin Although it is ideal to set the blade depth so it does not cut into the mat, it will happen and over time, you will have lots of marks on the mat. Enjoy your new Create! BigGrin

Thanks so much Scrapalette. I got worried. Can you help me with another question? I bought Elmer's Quick Dry Craft Bond and I hate it because it seems just like regular Elmer's glue. What should I get to adhere my crafts that is not too messy and dries quick? BigGrin

Welcome to the boards and congrats on your new Create! Other than my ATG, my "go to" adhesives are Scor-tape or the Red sticky tape, Scotch Quick Dry Glue, Zig Adhesive Pens, and Ranger Glossy Accents. I always keep pop dots and glue dots on hand too.
Enjoy your new hobby!
