I have both the Cuttlebug and the original Sizzix Sidekick, and they do the same thing. And the dies and embossing folders are also interchangeable. Although, I have to say, I never use the Sizzix, always use the Cuttlebug and 99.9% of the time, I use it for embossing!!

Bought the sizzix big kick. much better than the cuttlebug! I love how sturdy it is. I used the cuttlebug and did not like it.

I have both...still getting used to the Big Kick, although I think I'll move to using it more than the CB.

I don't own a cuttlebug, never tried it so I went with the texture boutique for embossing but realized I liked that you could use Tim Holtz dies with both machines so instead of having 2 machines I returned it and got the bigkick and I love it. I like that I can use fabric and chipboard with it and its a sturdy machine.

Hi Kathy,
I LOVE my Big Shot!! It is amazing. It will do everything including cutting fabric, so I am also having fun making a quilt with the circles die. It is sturdy and although it doesn't fold up, it has grippers that help keep it steady. They have just added a larger version called Big Shot Pro. It is 12x12 and I have found it for as little as $249 and it has the larger dies, will still do everything like fabric, chipboard, emboss, etc. But, it can accept larger dies for quilting or from Accucut.
Hope this helps,
Melissa
