I purchased a used imagine machine. It seems to be working, but it didn't have ink cartridges so I wasn't sure. I put in the ink and it wants me to feed the mat, but it keeps telling me that it couldn't be detected. I have tried it a lot I turned it on then off. I need help.
thanks

Do you have a cartridge (either Imagine or Cricut) in the slot? Not sure about the Imagine, but all the other Cricuts need a cart inserted before you can load a mat.

I did go and get an Imagine mat. It takes a while to move from the Go screen to the feeding screen. Then it starts feeding it for a second then pushes it back out and puts up the note can't detect mat.

If you put ink cartridges in, it will need to align just like a printer. You also will need to calibrate it if you haven't done so. It will not detect a mat if any of the outer black lines are covered, so make sure you didn't accidently cover some (been there and done that myself). Try to turn the mat around so you are feeding it from the opposite of the arrow side (if that makes sense?.. the side with the hole on it :) ) You don't need a cartridge in it as it has stock images on the machine.
I would make sure you're totally updated too via the CricutSync program. If you're not, and depending when it last had that, it could take a little bit.

That's what I'd try. If none of those work then post in the 'Questions for Chris' on the Imagine Forum. Some machine's have been known to have bad sensors and have had to be replaced.
