Just recently got the Cricut Expression and the Gypsy. I did the firmware and updates thing for the Gypsy. Do I have to do the same for the Expression? If so where are the links--everything I have seen is about Gypsy.

I have another question. Is there anywhere I can print "cheat sheets" that would be a quick quide for showing me what fonts/shapes are on all the cartridges. I can't always tell what the stuff looks like on the gypsy.

Yes, you need to update the firmware on your Expression so that it can talk to your Gypsy.

From the Gypsy Welcome screen click the Bug icon, then select the Update your Cricut icon and follow the instructions from there.

I still use the handbooks with my Gypsy, or the digital handbooks from http://www.cricut.com/information/cartridge_library.aspx.

And don't forget there's a zoom button on the Gypsy. (Top left silver button)

The Gypsy update that you would have done earlier was to update the software (including adding the new cartridges).

P.S. I don't think many of us read the manual. We're too eager to get in and play! Smile

I have a question about the points with registering the gypsy; when you registered it and got the 200 points for the initial two carts on it, did you get any points for the other 5 that you downloaded free?
