I WAS WONDERING IF THERE WAS A WAY TO CHANGE THE DEFAULT ON THE GYPSY SO IT WILL PRINT OUT PORTRAIT INSTEAD OF LANDSCAPE. i AM USED TO USING MY CRICUT CREATE WITH THE PORTRAIT BUTTON. CURRENTLY I AM HAVING TO FLIP ALL OF MY IMAGES SO THAT THEY WILL PRINT OUT PORTRAIT INSTEAD OF LANDSCAPE.

When you say you're having to flip the image, do you mean actually flipping the image or do you mean having to turn the image around with the "turn" feature, the second selection on the advanced page? You can select either of the mats you choose. Selecting a different size mat sometimes helps. With the turn feature, you can turn your image in any direction. When you say flip, I'm thinking when you flip like with mirror images. Is that what you're talking about or just having to turn the image to get it to cut a certain way? It will cut either way you place it on the mat. HTH

I'm unsure why you need to change the orientation.

Wherever you place the image on the gypsy mat is where it will cut. When you go to place the paper on your mat, turn it so the arrow is pointing to the left. That way it will look the same as the mat on the Gypsy screen.

Apologies if that's totally not what you are asking. Smile

I think I understand your question. You need to rotate the image so that it runs in the alignment that you want, go to the Advanced tab, tap on the curved arrow underneath the KE, then either tap on the calculator display to enter a figure, or use the single or double arrows to rotate the object to your required position. Using the Gyspy I can cut up to 11.5" images on my baby Bug, even though it is only supposed to cut up to 5.5" (Because I can place items in either direction on the mat).
