I need serious help, I have a brand new cricut expression and I am about to start my first project. I will be doing my nephew's birthday sign. The theme for his party is Hot Wheels. Any tips and suggestion on cartridges would truly help me. I have Plantin SchoolBook, but I want a better font to fit the Hot Wheels theme. No Hot Wheels cartridges are available, but I was thinking of a a cut out to help me if I find some flame paper. Speaking of paper what paper would you recommend the largest I have is 11x17, but I need a large sign like 5'x3' or something. I can always make individual letter and string together. Anyways I look forward to hearing all your suggestions as I attempt to begin my first project. Thank you in advance!

I suggest you try cricutsearch.com to search by keywords. The only cartridge that comes to mind is the Pixar Cars. HTH

My world might have something interesting to use. Campout has fire (flames). I bet Everyday paper dolls has flames as well. (Maybe for the fire fighter). I know EPD has a car as well. I would cut each letter out individually and then hang them on a string to make them the size you want. I would also search "cricut banners." There were some cute ones around Thanksgiving that you could modify for a b-day!
Enjoy!

Good ideas!

Every Day Paper Dolls does have lots of race car images, including a driver! You could make a paper doll and use a picture of your nephew's face for the doll face! BigGrin
