Have you played with it? I thought the same thing when I got mine, and I absolutely love it. I hardly ever cut without it. I always place things on my mat and cut everything at once. I just lay the color of paper where ever it needs to be. I love not having to change my cartridges like with my design studio. I really am glad I kept it. I have had mine almost a year and probably really started using it 6 months ago. I have to say one of my favorite cartridges is the Gypsy Font.

LOL...I always load my new cartridges on my gypsy, and keep it updated. However, I never use it. I need a 'gypsy-tutor'. LOL I wish there was a class I could take that would teach me what you guys already know. I just cant get the hang of it, so it seems easier for me to just put in a cartridge to my e.

Have you looked at the user guide? The best way I found to learn is to just to turn it on and play! You will learn as you go. I don't know what I would do without mine. I save a ton of paper. Also if you get stuck just post a Question in the Gypsy area. Someones always seems willing to help.

OMGness.... Check out Youtube.
I L-O-V-E my gypsy.

It helps me save paper because if you use just the E you have to use a 3x3" piece for a 1" cut but if you use your gypsy you are able to use the 1" piece for the 1" cut.

Also I can mix cartridges. Use Font from one cartridge with a picture from another to get the design I want.

You can also weld (make two seperate cuts - one cut), use the hide contour button (If you don't want those cuts on the base of your item that help you put the layers down, you can hide them)

The cricut only sizes by 1/4" increaments but the gypsy does everything inbetween!

I tried to mess with it alittle but I don't think I will use it like I thought. So I want to sell it to someone that will use it more. I have the CDS so that will work for me.

So is anyone intested. I would be interested in trading it for some carts I don't have also.

Let me know please.

Thanks,

Jen
