There is a debate going on on a cardmaking forum in the UK as to how you pronounce the word Cricut. Is it as in Jiminy Cricket or Cry Cut, thanks (I am in the UK).

Another vote for Crick-it! When it first came out I thought it was "cry-cut", too then I saw the little bug head. Smile

By Jiminy, it's cricket, no only the logo of the bug, but also the chirp the machine makes and the name of the newsletter.

Cry-Cut is what you do when your machine won't work any longer! Crying

The hazard of pronouncing it 'cricket,' however--as I've read a few times on the MB--is that people not in the know think you're literally talking about the bug instead of our dear old machines! lol Laugh

It's Cricket. Don't feel bad when the Cricut first came out I called it the CryCut too. Now, I say Baby Bug, Mommy Bug, Daddy Bug & Create.

Baby Bug- Cricut Personal
Mommy Bug- Expressions
Daddy Bug- Imagine
Create- Create. :)

My brother lived in the UK when I first got my cricut. He was always calling it a cry-cut. I thought it was just his accent. I told him we pronounce it cricket here in the US.

My boyfriend calls it the cry cut as well just to annoy me. He helps a lot to support my (CRI KET)cricut habbit.
