The crafting gods are against me!

I am going to OKC next Saturday for a Swarm. Linda and I always hit Hobby Lobby and Michaels. I always look forward to being able to get some things on sale since I don't go to these place very often but LO AND BEHOLD everytime I get to go they have the crappiest sales in the scrapbooking department!

And even the coupon stinks..... 30% off stain glass?? How in the heel am I suppose to use stain glass on a card or in a scrapbook??

Oh well on the bright side I guess I will save some money!! *okie cracks up laughin*

At least Michaels still has a 40% coupon this week...and if you're into Martha stuff her 50% coupon is still good!

You need to SWARM more often LOL That would give you more opportunities to visit M & HL more often.

Hope you have a great weekend.

ok Okie....I'll take pity on you. Next time M's or HL has a big sale, you and LGuild just plan on coming to Tulsa for a shopping trip. You have a place to stay!BigGrin

Ain't that the truth!

Every time we get to go to HL or M's, tightly clutching our coupons looking for bargains, whatever we'd use the coupon for is already on sale!

Or, we cannot find anything that we deem coupon worthy! I'm not QUITE as bad as Okie---she can't find much in HL that she doesn't already own, just bought on Ebay, or is waiting for it to arrive in the mail! LOL!

I thought the very same thing!! I was going to buy some more stuff as door prizes for our Swarm and was UNDERWHELMED at the ads this week. Good thing I already bought a bunch of stuff!!!

Can't wait to see you both at the Swarm.

I know the feeling. My M's is 45 miles away. My HL and Crafter's Warehouse are about 55 miles away. The next M's and Archivers are 60 miles away. Yes, I kind of live in the boonies.

I cried this morning when I looked at the ads. I am 120+ miles away from everything. I was hoping to have good sales this week too because I had to go to the BIG town on Thursday.

I hear ya....this time round I was close enough to go to a scrap fest. Had it all planned around a special dinner at Mom and Dad's even, so I could do both. Stupid car broke down and my DH works nights and so I wouldn't dare ask him to take me in his car first thing in the morning.

So like you said....at least I didn't spend any money.

Bye 4 now. Laura

Ya'll don't listen to Linda. I don't really have THAT MUCH stuff! I just have things I want! LOL

I guess there isn't anything I am really looking for anyway. But I do like to look at clearance stuff. I can't pass up a good clearance sale!

Well...I wouldn't recommend using your heel. You might break the stain glass! BigGrin

Well-l-l, old fashion glitter was made from glass. You could crush your own vintage glitter for 30% off, no one else will have it on their cards.

Maybe we should trade places for awhile since I'm on another spending ban.

I drive by HL twice a day and Michaels is jsut a couple blocks frome where I work.
You could check them out every day(oh, but you would have to work for lawyers).

Then you have me who had the opposite problem yesterday...

Went to J's armed with my coupons... ready to use them all... EVERYTHING I needed/wanted was already 40% off. Went home happy... but not a coupon was used... I LOVE using my coupons!
