Is there any chance that PC would make CCR tablet based for those of us who still use our older systems? And NOT have to be online?

I am soooo afraid that my. Gypsy will stop working and I go back and forth between Canada and Florida and I don't want to bring all my 300 carts with me. Where I crop in Florida and in Canada there is no wifi and my iPad is not able to go online without wifi so what solutions would PC. Have for me?

Wouldn't that be nice! I am right there with you worrying about my G dying! I love her!! I am very disappointed that the new machine wasn't something to take her place upon her demise! Don't know what I'll do without her. Not sure I even know how to use the physical carts anymore! Laugh

2 weeks ago I had to use a physical cart at a crop . . .I had to ask for help!LOL They didn't have their E updated and I was afraid to use my G to do it in case it bricked. Couldn't believe I forgot how to use a cart. It was pretty funny!!

Each time my Gypsy actually turns on, I heave a sigh of relief. And updating it is truly an act of deep faith.

If my Gypsy bricks, I think I'll donate my Cricut stash to the school and call it a day.

I have other great cutters that have awesome computer-based design programs. If I want to fire up the computer to design and cut, I don't need to buy a new machine to do that. While I'm happy for those who are excited about the Explore, I didn't get into the Cricut system to be tethered to the computer/internet. I feel like PC is abandoning those of us who want to continue using our products the old school way (offline and without a computer), and that both worries and disappoints me.

PC will fix your Gypsy for a fee. They announced this when they announced they were not making anymore. I've not seen anything saying this has changed. Check with customer service.

There is info in the gypsy linking sticky at the top of the page.

I am the same way Every time the Gypsy turns on, I am relieved. I had a scare where after not using it for a month it wouldn't turn on. Thought for sure I had the black screen of death. Just a dead battery. Maybe Provo will realize a lot of their clients don't have regular internet access. I' hoping.

CCR on a tablet would be great. It would make sense to have CCR available on tablets and/or smartphones. Now.... with so many people still loving and using their Gypsies, it shocks me that they haven't come out with a new/improved Gypsy.

I could see that creating CCR app would be easier than producing a dedicated tablet to replace the gypsy. They would not have to expend the R&D for a tablet or maintain and service tablets.
