I am a new cricut user. My aunt sent me hers since she didn't use it anymore. It does everything right except when I go to cut. Every character or letter I try to cut it either doesn't cut the entire thing and/or scores the image being cut. As in it cuts a line in the corner of it regardless if it is the only thing being cut or if there is more being cut. I have done a reset and updated to the newest software and I'm still having this problem. Its like the blade doesn't lift when it is supposed.

Has anyone else ever had this problem?? Please help!!!!!

If you have tried a reset procedure and that did not help and you are sure that the blade housing is properly installed and there are no bits of paper caught up in the blade, I would suggest calling support. They can help you do additional troubleshooting over the phone.

Try replacing the blade. Make sure the arrow is in the correct position in the housing unit. My machine always works better with a new mat after replacing the blade.
