So - after "bricking" our second Cricut Expression I thought I would post this in hopes of helping others through the pain.

We were running Windows 7 with AVAST! anti-virus, downloaded the latest version of Cricut Craft Room - AND because this was our second time through...made sure everything we could on the computer was up to date beofre starting.

Unfortunately - NO WHERE does Cricut tell you that you SOME Anti-virus software may end up bricking your Cricut through no fault of your own - and there is no way you will know ahead of time..

To PREVENT your (next) Cricut being ruined you MAY need to add exceptions to your AntiVirus program for the following two .exe files:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Cricut-Craft Room\CCRBridge.exe
C:\Program Files (x86)\Cricut-Craft Room\Cricut-Craft Room.exe

Oh - and make sure Adobe AIR is up to date...

We are now almost TWO MONTHS from the original purchase date, with another 14 to 20 DAYS (!?!?) before the next one arrives...

...Support was VERY cordial, and helpful - but, in this day and age... WHO BUILDS HARDWARE that CAN be bricked?!? And at the VERY least put a WARNING! in your setup documentation regarding this possibility.
