I just bought a Cricut mini today (every Expressions and Ex 2 were sold out). I love how basic it is to use in Craft Room. The only thing that I really want that it doesn't seem to have is the ability to cut on a 12X24 mat. So, I am considering buying the Ex 2 just to be able to cut large stencils for the wooden signs that I paint. However, really don't want it to be complicated and with the touch screen and all the buttons it looks very complicated. Is there a way to use the EX 2 in a very basic mode so it is as easy to use as the mini? Can I just bypass the touch screen and all the buttons and work with it in Craft Room? Thanks.
