I just bought my 2nd expression in case my orginal decides to quit working. My gypsy died right after the warranty expired and you can't get them anymore.

I have a back-up E but I use both machines. I have a back-up Gypsy but the new one just gets charged & I have designed with the pre-loaded carts but I don't think I've cut with it. I wish we could register two Gypsies but I can understand why we can't.

My E is beginning to act weird sometimes so I just bought a back-up from Js. I don't want the E2 and I'm afraid they'll discontinue the original E so I decided to stockpile another E. I actually got the idea on this wonderful board that is always challenging my budget!

Good question! The only backup I have is an Imagine, and only because I got it BF 2011 for $167. It's completely up to date and still in the box. Never been used except for the test cuts. Well, this is not completely true. I also have a backup Gypsy. LOL

However.....

I also have an Expression, Expression 2 Anniversary and another Imagine. I am NOT waiting to see what they come out with next because there is NO MORE ROOM IN MY CRAFT SPACE!

Well apparently I have one more because I bought an E from J's yesterday. I just couldn't pass up the deal.

So now I have the personal (it is at my mom's house), my trusty expression, an Imagine that works well, the big cake and now this new Expression.

I bought a back-up Expression (something I thought I would NEVER do....and, I'm always saying "never say never") this past summer when it was on special (kind of a special at the time, but I see there are more special specials out there after I bought it). I got it for $170 with two of the flower cartridges, so I'm thinking the Expression itself was $110 at least.

I would love to sell it to buy a BLUE one, though...or a green one. I will probably never look into that...unless I walk out to our local, small WalMart today and see a great deal on one that will give me $100 digital coupon!! Oh, my. PLEASE DON'T GO TO WALMART TODAY, CHAR! I'm just positive our local, small WalMart would not have even one of those machines out there! PLEASE DON'T GO!!

I don't think I would have any trouble selling my other machine to someone local, though. Many people in our area don't venture too far away from home....and, I think they just don't know where to find deals on them. I sold a ten-year-old sofa bed a month or so ago on our local Craigslist for $250 (well, I had marked it down $100, but the lady who came to my garage sale came bounding up the driveway yelling at me she wanted to buy our sofa bed...she did not know I had marked it down for that last day's sale).

I THINK I'M RUNNING OUT TO WALMART PRETTY SOON! LOL!

Oh, why did you put up this question this morning?

Char

P.S.......and, meanwhile, my ORIGINAL Expression just keep tickin' along....just like the ENERGIZER BUNNY! I edited again to say this: I had not read Scrapalette's post before saying this....WHICH IS JUST FURTHER VALIDATION IT MAY NEVER GO KAPUT AND FURTHER VALIDATION I DON'T NEED TO GO TO WALMART TODAY! I think my DH would surely kill me if I went, anyway, and came home with another machine!! I do also have a MINI!! Yikes.

I currently have 2 machines. My black E that dh got my at walmart a few years back on black Friday, and the white and blue E that I just got for myself on Thanksgiving day at walmart with the $100 gift card. Love

My black E works a little funny sometimes freezing up occasionally so I thought I'd get a new one just in case.

I had an E2 at one point, but I sold it. I much prefer my regular E. I also had a mini which I gave to my niece.

Let me preface this with saying I have a scrap room here in Canada and another at our condo in Florida.

Now that I have said that,

My first machine was a Create which I love. When I saw them on sale for $69 I bought a second one. I then got a black Expression with 23 carts that someone was selling on Kijiji for $200 ( like Craigslist but in Canada) so it was like getting the machine for free. I sold 10 carts that I already had for $15-$25 each so I got an amazing deal.
Then I bought a used original Expression (white) for $200 that came with 15 carts.....sold some of those and came out ahead. My hubby got me a Pink Expression for me to have in Florida as my craft space there is pink. Cleranced for $125.
I then got a Green Expression ( Walmart version) for $99 including 4 carts on Craigslist in Florida. So when I got home to canada I sold my black expression to a friend for $50 so. I was ahead again.
I then went to an M's one day and found an Expression 2 for $75 cause it was missing a cord. Got a replacement cord for free so that was an amazing deal. I HATE the E2. But at least I am only out $75 and I am sure I can sell it.

Got a Large Cricut Cake for $49 that came with 3 carts I really wanted and I will sell the Cake machine and keep the carts.

This week I bought the blue E at Walmart for $99 with the $100 credit so that was a no brainer and it will be my backup fir my pink E in Florida.

I Know CRAZY. I also have a Gypsy that is going strong ( knock on wood) that I love and only paid $89 new.

I don't use CCR ( I don't want to use a COMPUTER to craft. ) so if my Gypsy dies I will be very upset.

LOL I was going to say "just one??" but then I see you too have more than just one. Although, they are all different version of cricut--the Imagine, the personal cake, and the E2. I also own a machine that cannot be named here. And i was just contemplating the mini with today's sale...tsk tsk tsk. I have passed on an E, an E cake, and a Create as well. It's crazy! I must be nuts!Flapper

I have two Gypsys. One is unregistered and not used. I turn it on once in a while to keep the charge fresh. And I do list it on Amazon once or twice a year, but always take it down before it sells......just in case mine breaks.

I got rid of my expression and two baby bugs last year, used and unused. So I have one mini, one baby and two gypsys. I don't plan on purchasing a backup mini, although the buy 4 carts and get a free mini deal is tempting. Trying to get out and stay out of debt!!!

Just curious why people sold their E2s.

I had a pink E only until Friday, when I got the green E from Joann's. Would have preferred the blue one from Wal-Mart but our Wal-Mart sold out right away and I didn't know about the online deal until it was too late. But the green model is prettier than I thought it would be so I'm happy.

Pink Journey Expression-bought at Michaels way back when
2 originals-one was $45 the other inherited
3 creates-got on craigslist $35- $45 each
teal Expression-got on black Friday 2010
3 Cake Expressions-got online sale $49 converted to paper Expressions
2 mini cake machines--got on line sale $29

My bad, but I use expressions all the time and teach cricut and cardmaking classes.

1st Gypsy still going strong found it at Michaels-last one $19
2nd Gypsy bought as a back up still in the box

2 Cuttlebugs both the original one, ain't broke don't need the newer one.

Since you all have so many machines...I am wondering if you use them all or if they are just safely packed away. Since I only have 2...I plan on using both and having both set out at all times until both warrenties have expired. Then I will pack one away and bring it out when the older one stops working.

I wonder if there is a way to connect both E's at the same time to CCR and use both at the same time using just one laptop. Hummm. Then again, I'm not fast enough to create that fast!!LOL
