Hi, New to the craft room scene. I have a Gypsy but was wondering if Craft room works the same way? Can you link the cartridges you own to the CCR and then you don't need them to be connected to your expression ? or do you need to have your cartridges on hand ?
And do I have to link them to the room if they are already linked to my cricut.com account ?

Thanks for any help BigGrin

P.S. I guess my Design Studio has gone way of the dinosaur Flapper

You can link your carts to CCR too. If you go to CCR and click on the Options menu you will see a Gypsy Link option. Use that to add the carts that are currently linked to your Gypsy to your CCR account. Then they'll be linked to both. Once that's done you won't need to insert the carts into your Cricut when you're using CCR.

In future you can either link new carts to CCR then run Cricut Sync to also link them to the Gypsy, or link them first to the Gypsy and do the Gypsy Link option from CCR again.

DS has been discontinued and is no longer being updated with the new carts (as of April 2013). It's still handy to have though if your internet is down and you want to design on something bigger than the Gypsy. Smile

Make sure you carry your Gypsy if you go somewhere that you do not have internet access. Even hotspot from some companies does not work. If you try to use CCR you will not be able to use your cricut. Went on a retreat with no internet and not enough signal on sprint to use hotspot. Ended up using my gypsy.
