How do you see the tiny layers and know which ones to use for each item you are creating? Do you carry your books with you so you know which button to push? Do you rely on your booklets still? How do you organize your books and mats when traveling to crop with your gypsy? I would be interested to know what other people do. Thanks so much.

To see whats on each of the buttons, hold down the zoom in/out button and touch the button you are trying to see with your stylus. A bigger picture will pop up so you can see it better. Tap the picture when you are finished and it will disappear.

There is really no need to carry your cartridges and books to a crop.
Hope this helps!

I did not know that trick. Thanks so much.

I guess I am not as familiar as I should be with some of the features on each cartridge either so I am unsure what layers it takes to make some of the designs.

I'm with you. Sometimes when all of the layers are on one 'layers' button, I can get by with using the zoom technique on the Gypsy buttons. The rest of the time I rely on a handbook notebook I created. I describe it in this thread and others there also discuss some of their organizational methods that may be helpful or useful to you. Cindy, there is also the idea of putting copies of the handbooks on the Gypsy for quick reference. There's a thread on that here.
