Hi, im very new to this and have been having a few problems for a few days now. I am hoping to create a totally unique first birthday party for my daughter in mickey mouse clubhouse theme but not at this rate! i cant work out how to size a picture correctly. For example i manage to get the mickey mouse silhouette head on the 1st layer(red) but then cant get the right size silhouette(black) on the next layer. Basically i want to leave a small edge of red all the way round. i cant work out how to do this consistantly with multiple images. Also i am now getting an error when i am trying to cut saying that i need to reload the mat. I have done this several times switched the machine on and off and still am i getting this error message. Im pulling my hair out with this machine!!! hopefully someone can help me......

Making a shadow for an image that has curves isn't as easy a resizing the image because the curves won't match. But with the Mickey head, it can be done with circles from Craft Room Basics. I'll open CCR and get a screen shot for you.

Also, if you load the mat using the button on your Cricut, you may still need to load the mat {just click it} using the button in CCR on the cut screen.

Using 3 circles from Craft Room Basics, you can stretch 2 of them to be more oval and size them to fit your Mickey head.
