Shelly.. love your turkey Love how you did the edges is that from the cricut or a punch

I thought of that after I made mine with all the fancy punches I have I should have thought of it sooner.

Might just make another one LOL

I am so happy I got Abigail registered they said she had to have a library card at 18 months!! But since I have been a resident for 35 yrs. they let it slide. So I guess I will try and get her a card.

home from bowling...had to make the trip alone tonite as the other gal I usually go with is away. Made it there with the help of the GPS, there's one spot I always seem to get turned around in.
Thanks for your kind comments on my pages.

Nancy: glad you got your gd registered for her class, hope you are able to get her a library card.

Shelly: I think our snow is here to stay now. I think we got a good couple of inches anyway. Your turkey looks so cute. How big is he and how big are the rosettes? Great imagination you guys, I would have never thought of something like that...way to go!

Mom has her thyroid surgery tomorrow, not sure if I will go tomorrow or not. She is supposed to be in only overnight, so I'm supposed to pick her up Thurs. morning.

Last day of school tomorrow...we have a Rememberance Day Ceremony in the a.m. and then we're off to the Rock Jungle with a group of kids for the afternoon. Hopefully the day will go by quickly.

Hope everyone else is doing well.

Nancy - I used punches that I have. I have 4, so it worked out nicely, didn't have to choose. Thanks for sharing the instructions. Glad you got Abigail into the class.

Sandra - I'm guessing it is about 8 inches high. The back rosette is made with 4 inch strips, so I think that would make it 8 inches. It was fun to make! Hope all goes well with your mom's surgery.

Well our snow has melted again. I like it if its like this. I'm sure it will change soon!

I have my GS bright and early tomorrow. Won't get much done with him here. He will be here for about 14 hours.

I have a craft night at my Church Thursday night and I am teaching two of the classes. One will be easy because it is just paint a board and rub on the vinyl. Its a birthday board. The other one is a box to store cards in, by month. I found it online, but I had to rewrite the instructions, so that I didn't have to print out lots of pictures and some changes to it. Hope it works out okay, since people don't have paper trimmers and score pals, which would make it easier. I'm going to take mine, but don't know if there will be enough time for everyone to use it. Will spend time Thursday finishing up getting ready for this. I think I have everything pretty much ready.

Talk to you all later.

The last 3 days I have been on the phone with Insurance companies my head is spinning.

First we had to get new medical because DH turns 65 so we lose our coverage with his former employee LIRR so that went smoothly then I get a letter in Oct. saying we now lose our Part D because we are no longer connected to a union. Ok then I get Part D with AARP ok got all the paper work now last week I get a letter from Medicare saying I am not losing my coverage but they are putting me in Silverscript program. Now you can't have 2 Part D;s so I call and cancel AARP Part D!!

Get a letter on Monday saying they mailed out 245,000 letters in error and we now have no Part D!!!!!!!!! holy cow what a day yesterday ...

So now DH takes no medications at all nor has he been sick that he would need any medication in years so I'm thingking why does he need high coverage so I got him a low cost Part D and for myself a mid grade since I only take 1 medication for inflammation of the knee which I haven't taken in months since I got the injections. So now at least my Part D is more affordable then AARP.

Come home from a really bad day of bowling although we did win 2 out of 3 games and the third game lost by 2 pins (ouch that hurt) I have a phone message from the Insurance con but it was ok just confirming my switch in coverage. I hope I don't see or hear about Part D for a very long time.

I think I will make another turkey with the fancy edges.

Hoping everyone has a great dayBigGrin

Nancy - Oh, what a mess insurance is. We have been looking at getting insurance because my husband is wanting to retire soon. It is expensive and next year it will be even worse. Glad you were able to get it sorted out.

Bingo Lady - So nice you were able to get a computer. I hate figuring out new things. I'm sure you will get used to it soon. Nancy is the smart person who came up with the turkey. I copied her. They turn out so nice. I really like mine.

Had a long day with my GS. He didn't want to sleep for me today, but he was so tired. He just wants to cat nap. Finally got a nap just before he went home.

Trying to get my family coordinated to get some family pictures on Saturday. What a job getting them all to agree on a time. Thought I had it all figured out, but I forgot my son works on Saturdays, so he is extremely mad at me, cuz he will have to go in really early in order to get his hours in. He doesn't want to do it. Hopefully he will get over it and do this for us.

Hope everyone has a great day!

hi everyone;
Well, mom's surgery is over...had a few complications which sent her back to the operating room, but I think she is on the mend now. She thinks she may come home tomorrow or Sat. It's snowing here again, I guess I'll be able to try my new tires out in the snowLOL!

Shelly: hope your class went well. I know what fun it is trying to get family pics done, we did that last Christmas when the kids were home from Van,

Nancy: insurance is such a headache, they want you to spend big $$$ on it and then when you try to claim something it's another big run-a-round. Glad you got it all sorted out.

Bingolady: glad you got your new computer, have fun with it. Look forward to hearing from you more often now.

I'm off to the hospital again tomorrow morning and then have to pick Troy up later in the afternoon for the w/end. So much for a fall break for meCursing! Today was pretty much the same...hospital in the a.m., a visit with some friends while they were making cards, then met Troy and his staff for an appt, with the respitory specialist regarding his sleep apnea machine. She was extremely pleased at how well he was doing with it.

Take care everyone

Sandra - Sorry to hear your mom had complications on her surgery. Hope she is on the mend now. Sorry you are getting more snow! Good thing you have your snow tires on. Sounds like you will have a busy weekend. Hope you find time to do something fun.

Nancy - Cutting teeth is not fun for the little ones. Hope it comes through fast.

Had my class tonight. I don't know what happened, ugh! I made the example a month ago to show people. Saved the instructions. I had no problems with it. I took the instructions and made up a tutorial from them so people could follow along to make it. There were several errors on some of the cuts. I still can't figure out what I did wrong. I figured it out and they turned out okay, but I was sure embarrassed. Only one other person brought a paper trimmer and others didn't know how to use them, so I was cutting everyone's papers and making all the folds. So it took over 2 hours to make them. There were only 6 people, but they turned out in the end I guess. Tomorrow I will look at the instructions and see if I can find the mistake.

Going to bed now and forget about this evening.

Sandra... I thought you were going to have some time to yourself for Winter break... hoping mom feels better soon and you don't get too much more snow. Glad Troy's machine is working out for him. My DH has seen a big difference not as tired anymore during the day sleeps really well. He has to go for a evaluation also about the machine.

Oh Shelly... hope you find out where the glitch is in the cards sometimes we think we have it all together then something like that happens was it stamping on cards or did you use cricut cuts..!

That last turkey I had to make I had nothing but problems with I still don't have it all together. Whether it is the cardstock (reflections) never again I was trying to get rid of this paper by using it on the turkey (waiting for my CTMH order to come in).. anyway hot glued it then it didn't look right then I thought I would punch the edges.. ready for the garbage DH said how can you make so many and the last one giving you problems!! I have no idea.!

Abigail daddy is dropping her off today he thinks his heel is fractured or broken can hardly walk yet he is driving her here this morning so DD could have a break and go right to work
he has 2 doctors appt. so he was able to drop her off.

She is starting to say clear words now all of a sudden yesterday she picks up her toy phone and says Hello me and DH couldn't believe it... then I am always telling Max quiet (he loves to bark at every little noise the older he gets) so now she is telling him quiet..

I said Abigail I need to wipe your nose she comes over to me and starts blowing her nose..she is growing so fast.

Well I have Steve's Aunt 90th Birthday Party this weekend she is giving it to herself at a nice fine restaurant. Just need to dress up hoping the weather isn't too cold.. Older we get we are feeling the cold and it isn't even Winter yet LOL that is Sunday

I want to try something different that I have never done before in scrapbooking and that is using Stamps in the book. I am a Cricut gal that is all I have ever used but since I am selling the stamps now it would be nice to try it.

So that is my goal for Sat. no more cards for a while or table decorations I will still use the cricut to make the cuts then stamp on those cuts. Not sure if I would stamp directly on the page!!

Well have a great day Happy CraftingBigGrin

well, another day of my fall break spent at the hospital and running around. Mom is still there...there is still too much drainage coming from the drainage tube they put in her neck at the incision site. They won't remove it until the drainage amount is below a certain level, so possibly tomorrow. My sister & I are going up in the morning and we'll see what the score is then. Being mom is by herself they need to be extra cautious I guess.

Shelly: glad your class turned out ok, hope you can figure out what the cliches were in your patterns

Nancy: the little ones sure do grow up quickly, I noticed that with my great niece also. She's now talking in little sentences. I've done stamping right on my scrapbook pages, prefer to do it on cutouts though in case I make a screw up. Your give away sounds great, nice of you to do it. I would like to be entered for the draw if I could. Hope sil's heel is ok. Enjoy your dinner on Sun.

Tomorrow is hospital during the day and hockey game in the evening. Sun. & Mon, are free to this point. Hope to get the Christmas lights up while it's still fairly decent out. Had to shovel for the first time this year this morning.

Take care everyone, have a nice long w/end

Good morning everyone,

Busy day yesterday got a lot accomplished meaning house work so my weekend is free. I have Chiropractor this morning so up early boy do I feel tired...

Sandra... It is the Dinosaur Tracks cartridge cute for a boy cards
and/or scrapbooking

I think I would also stamp first on a cut out rather then directly on the page. Watching some good tips on CTMH TV hoping to try it today I have so many stamps and nevere tried them in the scrapbooking..

Well off to appt.
Hoping everyone has a great day

Good Morning!

Sandra - Hope your mom gets discharged soon. Running back and forth to the hospital gets old fast. Hope your Sunday and Monday stay open so you can do some things you want to do. So sorry you are having to shovel so soon. Our weather is nice again.

Nancy - You are so kind to give away a cartridge. I would like to enter your contest. Hope you have a fun weekend.

Well spent a couple hours yesterday morning making a banner for my daughter, Jill, who is pregnant to use in pictures today. Then went looking for some shirts for DH, grandkids, and SIL to wear in our pictures. My DD said her DH had nothing fall colored and she didn't have the money to spend. I wasn't a fan of what she was going to have the kids wear, so I ended up getting them all clothes. Decided to buy my other daughter a shirt for her son too and now they will all, hopefully, look cute together in the picture I want of just them. Took about 4 hours to find things that would coordinate and then go back and get them all. Then spent a few hours in the evening with Jill making a poster she wants to use in a picture. It's kinda cute though. Says, "Jill & Shane, sitting in a tree K I S S I N G, First came LOVE, then came MARRIAGE, Now comes ...." and then a cut out of a baby carriage.

I told her since I am paying for the photo session and we only have an hour, I get to have all the pics I want taken first! I talked to the photographer and she said she thinks we can get them all done in time, but I worry because it will be naptime for Ben and he can be very uncooperative sometimes. Wish me luck that the little ones all cooperate today!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Too funny...

This morning my DH said why don't you stay home, I will pick up my Aunt (40 mile trip) and meet you at the restaurant (Aunts 90 th birthday) So usually if it is somewhere I have never been before I get nervous driving. But I said now if I go directly to the restaurant I can leave later.

So I leave 11:15 to be at the Restaurant by 12 but I rather get there early especially since I have never been there before.

I find the Reataurant with no problem actually no traffic got there in 25 minutes park and who is behind me but my DH. He had to take his Aunt to the pharmacy and it was ust too funny he was right behind me:)

Lunch was so good had appitizers (shrimp, steak, sausage, Polish sausage) then either soup or salad then your entrees were Salmom, Prime Rib or chicken. I went for the Prime Rib OMG it melted in your mouth you didn't even need a knife served with potatoes and veggie

Each person for dessert got a slice of cheesecake, brownie with vanilla ice cream, chocolate mousse birthday cake and a chocolate covered strawberry I ate the strawberry and the ice cream. Too much dessert for me.

So it was nice got home a little while ago. Nice DH Aunt gave herself the 90th Birthday party she invited 40 people.

Well off to make critters for Abby toy chest

Have a good night all

another day at the hospital. I can't believe this...she was supposed to be only in overnight and now we're at day 5, maybe tomorrow. They're trying to get her blood at the right levels as she was off her blood thinners for 5 days before her surgery. The last 2 days my sister has driven but what I saved on parking ended up spending on foodCursing!

Shelly: hope your family pictures turned out ok and there wasn't too much commotion.

BingoLady: glad you got your new computer up and running, hope your turkey turns out well

Nancy: glad your lunch went well, what a nice birthday gift your dh's aunt gave herself!

DH got the Christmas lights up today while I was gone. When I got home I went and shovelled the neighbour's driveway as I thought they were gone for another day...but they drove up about 15 min. after I finished!

Better run, have some ironing to do tonite...might be an early night tonite.

Happy crafting everyone

DH said watch her peel it off today I hot glued everything so hoping it won't come off.

I have a friend coming over after bowling to check out CTMH products so I need to make some cards tonight showcasing the Paper packs and I want to do a couple of scrapbbok layouts using CTMH Cardstock and Stamps.

Hi everyone!

Joy - Glad you are having a good time and the weather is nice for you!

Nancy - What a nice gift your DH aunt gave herself. Sounds like it was nice. Hope you got your cards and layouts done. Also, hope you sold some CTMH products. I need to use my Imagine more. I keep forgetting to use it with the regular cartridges.

Sandra - So sorry your mom is still in the hospital. I had about 90% of my thyroid removed about 25 years ago, and it was supposed to be overnight also. They nicked the parathyroid glands and so I couldn't manage calcium in my body and had to get calcium shots throughout the day. I was in for over a week until it healed enough I could take mega doses orally. Hope they get things straightened out with your mom soon and she can come home.

The photo shoot was interesting. The grandkids did not want to cooperate at all. Ben, 2 y.o., didn't want to sit still, wouldn't smile, and was naughty. It was his naptime though. The babies were crying. So will be interesting to see what we got. They should be online sometime today so look at. Hoping we can find a few good ones.

Hoping to get something fun done today! Not sure what I want to do, but I want to do some cards or something for me. Seems like all I have done lately is things for others.

Hope everyone has a great day!

mom made it home today, hopefully it stays that way!

Nancy: your toy chest sounds cute, show us some pics please. Hope your friend liked the CTMH stuff and you made a sale or two.

Shelly: hope you got at least a few good shots. Doing a family photo with all adults isn't much better. Hope you got to do something good for yourself today,

Joy: glad you are having a good time on your cruise, Enjoy!

Off for now, take care everyone

Hello everyone!

Sandra so glad your mom has made it home! Hope things go well and she heals fast. Nice you have your Christmas lights up and ready to go. We usually put ours up the day after Thanksgiving, but not sure when we will do it this year, as DH doesn't have the day off like he always has in the past.

Nancy please share pics of the toy chest!

What has happened to Sharon? She hasn't been on here for a long time? Hope everything is ok with her!

Well I didn't get any crafting done yesterdayMad Did some things around the house and then went and helped my dad with some banking stuff. Then, my kids descended! I think they can sense when I plan to do something for me! LOL.

Well, hope everyone has a great day. Hoping to do something crafty today, but not going to count on it!

Sandra... so glad mom made it home and hoping she mends quickly

Shelly... that is really a hard task to get the adults together let alone for the children to cooperate, hopefully there will be some nice photos to choose from. Hope you get some crafting done.

I hear Sharon is on Facebook a lot she lost me as a CTMH customer!!!

Well today was our first outing to the Library for Toddler Time and we woke up to snow coming down so heavy plus Abigail has a cold so I had to call to the library to cancel. I was so disappointed. I was really looking forward to it. My DD said the traffic was crazy with the snow conditions.
Plus tonight it is supposed to be the coldest night 20 deg. and it is only Fall not even Winter!!!

So hopefully next week.

The toy chest is ok just critters all around I wanted to do grass and flowers and trees but my DD said Abigail will only peel it all off! so stuck to the dogs, cats, pigs, fish.

I did 2 layout last night using Chantilly Paper/Cardstock CTMH they came out really pretty and used the Artiste cartridge so between the stamping and the paper really pretty.

Then I was trying to make some stamp cards to show my GF some examples had a hard time so use to using the Cricut. Tonight I will look in the CTMH Card book and get some ideas.

Wed. I will put names in a bowl and have DH pick a name for the Dinosaur cartridge.
I thought we would get some of those lurkers to post so it is Shelly, Joy, Sandra and Bingo Lady

Well hoping everyone has a good night/day

My friend came over after bowling I think she was looking more at the Cricut then the stamps.. She can't decide if she wants to get into scrapbooking or card making. My onlu idea was at least with scrapbooking you have a focal point to work around and I thought it would be easier to start this hobby.

Her other hobbies has to do with yarn and lots of it, she has 1 grandchild who is going on 2 and I said this is perfect to start scrapbooking. So she is leaving for vacation and will be back in Dec. so we will see.

Ok DH picked a name it is SHELLY CONGRATS Shelly it will be in the mail by Sat.

Hello everyone! So sorry it has been forever since I have checked in! I manage to check email & FB every day & somehow seem to forget to get on over here to check in with my Cricut friends! So I apologize! I do think of you sometimes, but normally always when I am crafting (which is when I am not at home & have access to my computer!!!!).

I have been very busy with Dr appts. Been to see many specialists as I was having severe exhaustion/fatigue during the day & it was effecting my work & general life. After many testing they have diagnosed me with moderate sleep apnea & mild fibromyalgia. So had a sleep study with a CPAP machine & get the results & talk about that the week of thanksgiving. Actually looking forward to getting a machine as I hope then I am not so tired during the day. Right now it is still a struggle getting up & working each day. As for the fibro, she prescribed me heat & water therapy (have yet to call up & find out what that entails, but do not really like going in a pool & I am sure that is what it is) and prescribed Cymbalta too.

Had a lovely CTMH gathering party for a friend about 3 weeks ago. Hadn't seen her for about a year at least, so was nice to catch up with each other & to show off the new products to her friends. She had decorated the house for Halloween/Fall so tastefully, it was lovely.

Last weekend I was in Poconos PA for a scrapbooking weekend, working as a CTMH vendor & also scrapbooking myself. Shared a room with 2 other friends, so that was nice.

This weekend it is NJ twin club convention in Bridgewater NJ, so going to that & staying over too.

I tell you.... just been so busy lately, it is crazy.

So what did I miss? Anyone want to give me a recap of what you have all been up to in the past month?

Just read comments.... sorry I haven't been on here. It is so much easier to check FB & post on there from my iphone if I am away. Which has been happening a lot lately.

I am sorry & will try to check in more often.

Oh & when I am home I have been busy at home too. MY MIL (who we call Oma) is moving in with us next year. So we have been sorting & selling a lot of stuff from the girls playroom, as she will be moving in there. No rest I tell you. lol

Hi all!

Sharon - Nice to see you here again. Hope you can find out what is going on with your health. Sounds like you are really busy besides.

Nancy - THANK YOU!!! I'm sure I will put that cartridge to use really soon with my two grandsons! You are so sweet! Hopefully your snow won't last, but unfortunately I'm afraid it is only going to get worse before it gets better. Hope Abigail gets feeling better.

We got our pictures back and I don't like the ones of me, but everyone else looks good. There are a lot with the grandkids that Ben was pulling a face, but there are a few that will work. There is one where the photographer tried to get Ben to sit on the ground and hold his sister. Well he thought it would be more fun to dump leaves on her head. The photographer actually got it and you should see the mischevious smile on face! Will definitely have to get that one printed!

We booked a trip to the Caribbean in January. Will be nice to get out of the snow and go somewhere warm. We have been having temps in the low 60s and high 50s all week, which is not usual, but unfortunately, that is changing on Friday and we will be getting some snow and lower temps. The snow is supposed to stick this time. YUCK!!

Have a good day!

home from another hockey game. It is actually raining here...had some this a.m., then it started again around 5:00 and hasn't stopped. If it freezes tonite, it won't be too lovely a commute to work tomorrow morning.

Nancy: glad you got some stuff done to show your gf. Hope she decides on one of our lovcrafts...scrapbooking probably would be a good start if she has a grandaughter. Glad your bowling went well. Troy is in a tournament this Sun.

Shelly: congrats on your win from Nancy. Hope you were able to get some crafting done after your family left.

Sharon: welcome back, we were wondering where you went. Sorry you haven't been well, glad they got things figured out. My ds got his CPAP machine last year and it has made a world of difference for him. I've been diagnosed with fibro also, my dr. prescribed Lyrica for me...works great, keeps things under control. Good luck with all your sales and have fun scrapbooking.

Mom is doing fine...talked with her yesterday. Have started to do dh's retirement pics, I swore I had picked up some scrapbooking paper for it but for the life of me I can't find it. I guess a trip to M's is in order tomorrow after I get my nails doneLOL!

Take care everybody and happy crafting, Hope everyone else is ok
