I thought I would try some stuff today to see how it would work on my projects for this swapBigGrin

I tried some orange spray mist outside which was a good thing because my hands were covered by the time I finished.
Then I tried some chunky clear embossing powder mixed with black on some grunge board.
I also played around with some texture magic, glitter snow, gesso and tissue tape.

I must say that everything I tried came out super!!!!! Now to get the projects to come out the same wayLOL LOL

I am LOVING this CHUNKY embossing powderBigGrin BigGrin BigGrin
(I think mine says Deep Impression)

Sorry. Checking in. Work has been crazy.

I will be sending out Candy's goodies this week. I'm hoping to finish her triptych tonight.

I look forward to seeing everyone's pictures.

Thank you so much for checking in. We still have plenty of time to work on the swap. I just require regular checkins as it helps the swap go more smoothly.

Jean- it sounds like you had fun playing this weekend! I love the stampendous aged embossing powder that Kel was referring too. Love the colors in them.

Haven't started on this yet. Need to get caught up on some ATCs first. Today was a great day because it has been raining... we NEVER get rain during the summer here. i think it is sticking around tomorrow too, so more playing for me!BigGrin

Hi Gang,
Interesting talk about the chunky emboss powder, has anyone posted pics of what it
looks like on their blogs or here?

I have most of the layout figured out for my 3rd project, I am just waiting on Kel's
die cuts to arrive to decide the final details and put it all together.

I am taking the day off tomorrow and I will be mailing those out. SORRY it took me a while to get those out.

Chunky embossing powder can be used in several different ways to get different looks. I like a more splotchy look which you can get when you heat just until it melts. You can melt it further to make it smooth out. I like using it on the edges of projects to give it some depth and texture.BigGrin

Yes I do, I used it on the altered mouse trap that I did for Kelley on another swap. I believe it was chunky copper with turquoise, you can get it from stampendous. Hope it helps!!

Smile Maria

Will be starting on this tomorrow, not 100% sure what I'm doing yet!!

I hope you feel better. A friend of mine at work ahas been feeling under the weather, too. Docs are trying to figure out if it is the medication or something else... The waiting to find out is frustrating.

JCI -- I have more trouble with this message board. It doesn't like me. I checked in and posted and edited my original post a day ago but I don't know where my check in post is. It just shows my original post was edited. Robin, I am so sorry this has been holding you up. I am posting it here so you won't have to look for it:

1.what would you like? Tags, embellishments, project, tryptich, etc.
I would love tags

2.Theme? vintage/shabby chic

3.Colors,style?
pink/lightbrown/cream or white
Edited by user a day ago | Reason: answered die cut questions

If I get into trouble it's always because of posting, I declare I don't know what is worse doing it or not! I am so frustrated. I keep getting error messages and all sorts of things. I really know how to maneuver my way around here, I really do.

Thanks,
Evelyn

I just wanted to do a quick check in here and wave a big hello to my partner heaven. I am leaving thursday next week to go camping for the holiday weekend. don't want anyone to think I disapeared. things will probably get hectic next week as we get ready to go.
kelley if you haven't already mailed those cuts I requested I would appreciate it if you could hold onto them for an extra week. I don't need a bunch of stuff sitting in my mailbox. if they are in the mail that's fine they might make it before I leave next week.
hope everyone else has a fun safe holiday!

Ok...sounds good. I am so sorry everyone. I have been slammed with late hours, catching up on swaps, and oh yes the wedding and graduation. My niece is getting married and we are all doing a lot of the work to save them some money. She asked me to make a paper wedding cake for favors like I made my nephew. Well that was 6 tiers, 54 boxes, and a ton of time. It was pretty, but oh it was time consuming. Did I mention she is getting married next weekend and she wants enough for a 100. So I found a cool alternative so I better get cracking. Then my other niece is graduation from College and has her party this weekend. So needless to say Tuesday was crazy between working from home and wedding I didn't get to post office. I will hold yours another week.

Kel it does sound like you are super busy, hope the wedding and graduation
turn out well and also all those crafty projects, maybe you can put pics up on your blog sometime for us to see them?

amylendall, have a nice holiday with your fam!

Heading back to Ia city tomorrow to be with DH on our 34th anniversary, it looks like
we may be spending it at the hospital. Still trying to find a good attorney to fight for
us in healthcare law too. I am a bit overwhelmed with all this but trusting the Lord will guide us thru this mess.

Hugs to all
Kathy
