I'm a little sore today. Okay, I'm really sore. I did something so incredibly stupid yesterday. With a break in the weather I decided to do a little yard work. I needed the wheelbarrow, which of course was way at the back of the garage. I made a mental note of where the lawn mower was, grasped the handles of the wheelbarrow and started to walk backwards. Seconds later I tripped over the lawnmower! Due in part to the speed I was walking backward (not looking where I was goingBlushing ), I landed hard on my butt and left arm...my shoulders and then my head slammed onto the concrete floor. Fortunately nothing was broken, only badly skinned. I'm just really bruised and sore today. Hopefully a little wiser too. I hope to put together a few cards this evening.

I hope that you are ok! My mother tried to move a refrigerator box in her garage before "someone would trip on it and get hurt". You guessed it. She fell moving it and broke her elbow in 3 places.

Then I fell off an low ottoman ( I was trying to take down a Halloween decoration) I flipped off and landed on my dignity. It took months for the bruises to heal.

I hope that you got checked out because it is amazing how long these things can take to heal. Don't hesitate to go to the doctor if you are getting headaches or blurred vision.

I hope that you heal quickly and without incident. Enjoy making your cards.

Youch! That sounds painful!! I hate it when I do things like that. I am glad that you are OK except for the bruises. Good luck getting your cards done!

It's really easy! I have to knock on wood, because there was a period in my life I did all the most stupid things you could do....and they triggered a lot of arthritis pain over the years. Thankfully, and I think this is after all the stresses of raising kids, getting them through college and married off, such things quit happening to me. So, consequently, my arthritis has fared much, much better the past eight years or so.

I think we get in a hurry a lot of times....at least, that was my problem.

Hope you heal quickly.....praying for that for you.

Char

Hope you feel better soon.

The other day we were in my daughters room and we were putting together her big 6 piece wall unit bedroom set and we had put her mattress on her box springs and told her to lay on it to see how it felt and she laid down and hit her head on the head board. The funny thing is she looked to see where the head board was before she laid down....

You might want to get checked out by your doctor, I slipped on ice on the stoop of my house and went up in the air and came down on my head and it hit the concrete. I was beyond dazed and pain. I suffered a concussion. Head injuries can be dangerous. I suffered from mine in Feb. and I'm still suffering the residuals of mine. Good luck and I hope you heal soon.

Thanks everyone!! I feel much better today. My left shoulder is still pretty sore.. and my left butt cheek.. but otherwise I'm fine. Without asking him, my very sweet, most awesome neighbor mowed the lawn for me. I'm making him a card and I'll slip a Tim Horton's gift card inside it so he and his wife can have coffee on me.

I don't know about you all but I have a tendency to feel invincible.. then something happens to make me realize that I am only human after all. With all that's going on around us, tornadoes, floods, bridge collapses... I realize how awfully fortunate I am. Give everyone you love a hug today and don't forget to tell them that you love them. You might not get the chance tomorrow.Crying
