Sorry to hear it.

It sounds like a MySQL table crashed on there server. They should be able to retreive the information. So, not all is lost.

Can you look up any of your receipts to show what you have purchased? Like from your credit card company?

Same thing has happened to me. I called them today and was finally able to log back in, but all my other info is gone. On the bright side, the rep did see the digital content I purchased on Friday, so maybe they'll be able to recover everything.

I was told they PC wasn't experiencing any issues.
I don't appreciate them not being honest to me.

I put an order in on Thursday.
I emailed them the order but haven't heard back yet on what they will do.

I wonder how many of us got taken off the map?

I sent them a copy of my last order. I am waiting for it to ship.

They haven't emailed me back about it.

I just looked in my email. They had sent me a shipping notice.

My order did ship before my account was wiped out.

That is one less thing I have to worry about.

websites uses a security certificate which is issued for a specific period, to test the authenticity of these websites...

so that period might have expired and the website owner then needs to renew the certificate...

My digital purchase are gone. Crying
I do however have some of the digital cartridges on my gypsy.
But, the single files don't go to your gypsy so they are lost at the moment.
I did save all my receipts so if they need proof I have it.

All information is stored in what are called "tables" to be easily accessed by the website to display the correct information. Sometimes parts of the information tables crash. It is kinda like when your computer acts crazy when it needs to be defragmented and cookies deleted, that is kinda how the "tables" of MySQL work as well, they get over worked.

They should have backups of all the information of your that was "lost". It just takes a while.

Thank you for explaining this!! I had no idea about it.

They did tell me it will take days. But, now I wonder if it will be longer depending on how many customers this affected.

Something is very very very wrong with PC and all things technical. I know web sites crash, but they aren't even acknowledging that. The problem HAS to be on their end - think about it - even YOU don't have access to go in and literally wipe your own data. And why would you????

Add this to the s*#t pile of other technical mishaps ..... ie.... epic update fails, delayed updates, glitchy, unreliable CCR, can't use Android at all, must disable firewalls and anti-virus - - - - I mean what is wrong in Utah???? Are they in some kind of cyber black hole???

When I try to tell my son about all of these crazy goings on he can only hear so much until he is yelling at ME for coming back here!!

Grandma, I sure do hope this gets fixed for you. But more importantly I hope PC takes a good long look at how, why, and how often this kind of stuff happens. They have got to be the poster child for how NOT to run a website.

Keep us updated if you can. Who knows if we'll ever hear from you again?

I will keep you updated as long as this account keeps working.

I too don't understand how one company can have so many technical problems.

If for any reason I can't get here. I have friends that can post for me.

I hope PC now realizes we need CCR to run from our computers so we can avoid these problems and still craft.

Yet another reason that CCR should be non-internet based and carts should be downloaded to our computers and not on-line.

I'm guessing that PC will get all your purchases recovered. But, please do let us know the outcome.

Mary

PS, it wouldn't hurt for the rest of us to do a print screen of CCR showing our carts library. At least that would be some documentation of what we have purchased.

And another thought. If CCR is not showing the carts you own, I would probably not update your gypsy as you might lose those carts as well. Just another thought.

I called PC this morning and did get an email that they are still looking into why nothing is showing in my account. They also had to give me a new password, but I cannot get on the Circle board. However, when I log in to Rewards, it still shows me as a Circle member. Hopefully they get this straightened out soon.

Unfortunately, this is a pattern with PC. It's like you won't get as mad if they tell you that they don't know what happened or it happened on another shift RollEyes Angry

This is EXACTLY why we need our Gypsys, we CANNOT rely on CCR or PC to keep our information or CCR linked Cartridges right. I have NEVER seen a company with so many Programming problems. I would STRONGLY suggest PC hire a Capable IT Team, if they expect to have everyone use the CCR.

I am so sorry and I wish I could help. I would be sitting on PC until they get it straight or THEY Link every Cartridge and Digital Download to your CCR Account, that you had. The burden of PROOF is on PC, they screwed up, AGAIN.

It is just WRONG for us to have to take extra steps because PC keeps screwing up. CCR is a nightmare in disguise. I have tried the CCR numerous times and ut either freezes, cut a diagonal line across my Image, cuts an Image that I didn't tell it to cut, cut the wrong size or continuing to cut even when it should of stopped. I have had it and will NOT use CCR. It will be an ongoing problem until PC realizes they don't know how to make it operate properly, then PC will discontinue CCR, just like they did with the Imagine.

I NEED to have a reliable Die Cutting Machine that DOES operate correctly with Digital Images. PC is just pushing us away, without any concern. So be it.

I'm so sorry you're going through this (and anyone else experiencing these same problems). I would be pretty ticked myself if it happened to me. Many of us put a lot of money into our products (some much, much more than the rest of us; but, nevertheless, we all put plenty into this hobby and are loyal to PC)! Why things like this happen is very frustrating....no matter who or how many (if only one) that it happens to.

Hope they do have their backups in order and can retrieve everything for you. I can't believe they wouldn't do the backups....it's pretty much a given that every company would do this just to maintain their integrity when things go south!! They surely have the backups.

I don't agree that it would take a "long time" to add the data back into their systems. I mean, I have worked for a lot of companies (very big companies). They were almost without fail able to "fix" crashes and problems within hours...if not overnight.

It will be interesting to hear the outcome. Hope you get your identity back soon, Mary....plus all you own and have put into PC.

Char

I am sooo sorry this is happening to all of you.
How awful!
I hope they resolve it for you QUICKLY!

After reading this I went and copied ALL of my receipts and my rewards history.
Just in case.
Luckily my CCR account content is still there.
I have not linked any of my cartridges to it or a Gypsy.
If I loose my digital content I'll have proof so they can replace them for me if they can't retrieve them.
Also I'll have proof of cartridge purchases in case there is a warranty issue.
I printed all of this off before but now they are all in one place for safe keeping.
I won 2 digital cartridges in a contest and I made a copy of the congrats email just in case for those also.

I'd suggest everyone make copies of all of their orders.

D~

It is a good idea to be prepared for something like this and keep copies of everything!!
At least I have that. I do have some of the digital content stored on my gypsy.
Just not the single files. So hopefully that won't die on me.
I do have records of all the purchase receipts that were sent to me by email.
I do believe there is more of us out there. That they are just not able to post because their account is gone.

So if anyone out there is reading this thread and are experiencing the same issues.
Please call PC and report it so they can work on getting your information back.
Don't wait and think they will fix it. They will only fix it if you report it.

In my case where my whole account is gone. If they can't fix it. I would hope they would work with me at getting the information that I have record of back into a new account.

Why in BLAZES anyone purchases digital only is BEYOND ME!

Look how quickly someone's purchases goes POOF!!

I was even starting to get a false sense of security that this system was stable enough.
I was glad that I had my gypsy backed up into CCR. I never ever thought something this big would go wrong.

I do own all my cartridges. I do know I will never, never ever go all digital with PC.

PC could at the very least put up a post notifying their customers of this problem.
And keep us informed as to what the problem is and a idea of when it should be fixed.

I was on the MB on Friday night until around 8pm by saturday morning I came on the MB my whole account just went poof! It happened that quickly.

I hope they can restore this and I can post a happier post about this.

I know where I work when things crash it is just a matter of hours to restore it from back up.
I too don't get why it would take days. I really do hope they had back up inplace. If they didn't that would just be insane and pure unresponsible for this company.

They really couldn't give me any answers as to when and if my data could be restored.
It didn't sound hopeful at all. I will call them in a couple days to find out if any progress has been made.
