Thanks for checking in Lana.

I know the DD is forever away from now....but after dealing with the 2 flakers in the newbie swap who never checked in but rarely...and I kept giving them second chances....and then in the end I just wish I would have removed them a month before the DD....I'm just determined to enforce the rule that we all need to check in every 2 weeks in all our swaps.

It's easy to do and makes life so much easier on all the hostesses here.

And it's just no fun to be a hostess and have to make that decision to put your hostess hat on and remove someone. It makes me feel rotten for days!

So I'd just rather see the check ins on a regular basis and keep that hostess hat hanging on the hook! lol

JCI - if you haven't ever seen ice moving off lakes, this lady got a good video. Note, there is some language in it, but pretty stressful event.

No, not my house, far enough away that I don't have to worry, but close enough for shopping.

Kelley, my not so girly - girl friend,

I am happy to say I finally completed my 1st project and what fun I had doing it. A lot of trial and error, but I got it just the way I wanted it... right up your alley, hope you like it! I'll give you a hint, it has blue in it, can you guess, ha, ha, ha!!!

I also made my 1st purchase and it's to die for!!!!!Drool Drool I got myself one too and actually used it on this project. Woot Woot

Now off to see what I will be making next, before going back to making the baby banner, blah!!

Oh my, I am in just the planning stages for you. I have been on the hunt for an item to alter that is unique...I know what I want....just have to find it. I have most of the projects planned out...but usually by the time I am done my list has changed several times.

I have ordered all the paper I will need and then some - BigGrin

I cannot wait to see what you made and the "to die for".

Off subject to anyone - have you seen any die manufacturer that has a penny farthing die? I am looking for one. MUST HAVEDrool Drool Drool Drool Drool I emailed Timmy & Mario and told them I think they should make one for the next releaseLOL Ok I found one by Memory Box - not the nice thick steel rule dies, but it will work - timmy just needs to come out with his own versionBigGrin

I haven't started anything yet but there are a couple ideas swirling around in the muck. I did however go to Ms this afternoon and managed to spend $72 but only $11 of it was for me! SadSad

I LIKED IT BETTER WHEN NOBODY WANTED ANYTHING FROM THE CRAFT STORE BUT ME CUZ' CRAFT STORES WERE DUMB.

At least you got something Gwynne.. Smile

I still have a $50 gift card for A.C.Moore from Christmas I think I might slip over tomorrow Ssshhh!!

woo hoo! Aren't I the lucky one! I'm too busy right now with other stuff and no time to hit the craft stores so it's so nice of you to go shopping for me COB! lol

I have other swaps to complete before I get too serious with this one but I have printed out my partner's choices so I can start taking notes and make a plan.

I don't wear jewelry because I am outside in the dirt six days a week. I really am not a girly girl, I usually dress in jeans and a t-shirt. However, I do like flowers, glittery/sparkly things, lace, and ribbon. I love the outdoors and nature in general. Mini albums, decorative boxes, altered frames all would be fine. I think ATC could be a lot of fun to swap, what do you think? And of course gift bags and tags are always useful.

How about you what is your style or is there anything you would like to receive?

Penny

I am starting to make myself a little jewelry, but nothing too bold. I love altered frames and boxes and anything you would like to create. I really like to be surprised. I like any style as long as it is done well, but if it is steampunk nothing too industrial. I have never made atc's, but no time like the present. So it sounds like you like things that are useful. That I can accommodate. Hope you have a nice day and weekend and sorry I have not been on in a while as I have been busy with family issues. I have one idea in mind right now, but after two attempts at making I may give that up after the third try. But then again I like a good challenge.

Still thinking of what to make. Work has me 54 hours a week so I have to squeeze things in a little at a time. Sundays have been busy also. I'm looking forward to Memorial Day weekend when I have two days off!!! Hopefully I'll get to a craft store and get some things.

rain and thunderstorms today, perfect day for scrapping! Can't be on internet during the storms, outside working or even chatting on the phones (lines around here get hit often). So, whoo hoo! Scrappy time for me BigGrin Working on ideas that have been churning for my partner!

Hope things are going well for you, Ali. Looking forward to a calm (hopefully) day around here for change.

Hi Everyone ! JCI and a big shout out to my partner CraftyMom of 2 !! I have started collecting up things in a box to put together all the elements of your package. This is a fun challenge...but so NON-stressful . That is a great combination !

Hope you all have a wonderful week and I hope no one in our group has been affected by the tornadoes. God Bless all those people who have sustained great losses...prayers go out for them.
