Beanie, This board used to be hopping when I first started. I believe a new swap opened about every day or every other day at the most. I joined most of them. LOL I had three pages on my favorites filled with active swaps at various phases I was working on. Most of them were smaller ones though, dominos, bottlecaps, dressform tags, etc. I did that for a while and eventually burned out and cut down to 2 at a time. I have really missed it though and have done a few more swaps....I am in 4 now. I am done with one now so - really have three to do and in one of them (this one) I have two partners. I am always thinking of ideas. ScrappyDew had made me a wonderful "swap" junk journal I used to put them in. I miss all the little swaps and would love more small swaps that are partner based.

I do my planning when I'm falling asleep or driving BigGrin ... I don't get up to craft tho ..

Like Kelley when I first started swapping I entered everything going, usually had about 15 swaps due a month ... most of them were not partner swaps, a lot were die cuts or ATC's ... I still go in the ATC swaps, but I don't do die cuts anymore, I have shoe boxes full of various cuts. At the moment I'm only in five ...

Hi everyone. Checking in for the week. Looking for a good tray as I have something in mind. My local stores are only carrying the small TH config boxes. I can find painters trays as a last resort but really want to do a configuration box.

Waves to my partners, Denise and Terri!!

Denice, I know I will love whatever you make for me!

I haven't been to Micheals yet, hoping to go tomorrow to see what boxes they have. Terri, let me know if you have any preferences for your box.

You can find them online if you cannot find one locally. There are a couple of retailers that will give free shipping with a lower minimum order. I had to laugh when I was looking through my stash....(I laughed to my self - hoard much).....LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL

3 TH small config boxes
2 TH med config boxes
2 TH large config boxes
3 TH large printers trays with the config boxes
2 TH configuration books
2 black atc trays
2 deep unfinished wood boxes w/compartments with glass fronts
2 shallow wood box trays w/compartments
1 big deep wood box w/compartments
4 open backed wood display frames with compartments
1 mini wood tray

jean here is my stab at it....

Every night when I hit my bed, all these swaps run thru my head.
Thoughts of inks and embellies abound, too bad I have to wait until next payday comes around.

Anyone what to add the next line????

Beanie - we all feel that way sometimes. I definitely did the overload thing when I first started. I have pulled way back for quite a while. I am getting a little more active again now.

Jean - lol; probably could sell some of it.

Since this swap is so long, I will do check-ins every other week. Please do continue to chat - It makes the swap way more fun if it is a lively group. Let's see who can add to Jean's poem - what a great idea....I just love it.

If you have not done so, please provide the person creating for you with your address, and at least one means of alternate contact info (email, facebook, phone number, etc.). The person you are creating for, you should provide the alternate contact info just incase you cannot be reached on the board.

Get to know your partners so you can create something personal and fun that they will enjoy.

I did this in another swap before...I think I will do it in this one. You have until May 10th to really get know your partner...check their mq's, ask them questions, read posts....

I will have a contest about who know's their partner the best. I will have 10 questions. You will answer the questions about your partner. Your partner will review the answers and pm me how many you have right. If there is a tie, I will either do a tie breaker question or do a random drawing. I will make sure it is an awesome prize box too. Something you won't want to miss out on.BigGrin

i am not even home and i just remembered that i have a couple of different things then what i thought of even. have to go and write them down to hunt up when i get back.

that is the only problem with having 2 different craft rooms. forget what is hiding where.

I just love the poem. I keep trying to add on but I'm so baddddd at it. Keep it going and maybe I can jump in.

I am so happy that you guys are going to the Tim class. He teaches in New Mexico once a year and I want to go but it fills up so fast. You'll have to post pictures of what you make and of course all the cool extras he gives out. Have a really good time.

Robin, you forgot to add a disclaimer in your post...

Kelley....this is not for you to look at...unless you have a bucket next to your computer....

and I agree with Robin...how could you ever craft Tim Holtz style in that room? It's way too feminine.

I didn't realize how much I have moved away from pretty colors like that until I checked out that link. Swapping here as really warped me over the past few years! or Maybe it's un-warped me! lol

I do love the brightness of the room though compared to her before pictures! Huge difference!

Gwynne you are all too right on that one...I cringed. I would have the carpet stained, the tables all dabbled with inks in sprays and there would be no sign of pink anywhere. My style has changed as well, however....I NEVER did like pink or girly...blech.

What's a craftroom without inkstains, bits of paper scraps all over the floor, etc.

Every night when I hit my bed, all these swaps run thru my head,
Thoughts of inks and embellies abound, too bad I have to wait until next payday comes around.
I have to feed my crafting meter but the waiting makes it all the sweeter.
and all the sweeter it will be if I remember to JCI - according to our leader!
My partner's box is in the mail,I packed it well because it's frail,
A trip to the po couldn't wait, my package to my partner couldn't be late.
Back to the board to post the DC, my partners reaction I waited to see
With visions of she clapping in glee!
Now here I wait for pictures to be posted, and then wait for the next swap to be hosted!
Paint brushes, mousetraps, spools, and spoons, I can't wait to place them on the shelves in my room!

The mailman is coming down the road, my new swap item I can't wait to behold
Will I like it, will I not? I hope to love it quite a lot

Sorry Gwen, I forgot.Blushing

I'm sitting at work cracking up laughing at this. Good thing Boss Man is in court. I like the room too, but definitely looks like a shrine than a room someone would actually craft in.
