I have been trying to use CCR for a while today. Okay it is hours now.

It will allow me in and I can create a new project BUT it will not let me open up any of my saved projects.
It just freezes half way through the process. It doesn't matter which project.

I've tried cloing out and going back in multiple times.

I need to know if this is an issue others are having right now so I know whether to just wait it out or call PC tomorrow. Calling will be hard with no voice tho. Ugh! Crying

I only have so much crafting time to play today and I have everything designed and ready to cut.

HELP ME PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE can you check if this happens for you, too now?.

Thanks
D-

I just tried opening some of my files in CCR and had no problem.

Have you tried restarting your modem and your computer? It could be a connection/speed issue.

I just turned my computer back on after going out for a few hours.
I will ask my husband to check the modem for me.

I am able to open some of them now.

Some open real slow.
I can tell if they are not going to open even if I wait 15 minutes if CCR does not say not responding at the top.
The screen freezes and I have to do the red x to get out of the frozen screen.
And there is no swirling blue thingy on the screen.
Can you tell I'm not a techy?

The ones that won't open right now are ones I designed with the Creative Cards freebie.
That cart is still available for me to design with so who knows?

I designed and made some cards I wanted to check the cut sizes for so I can have the info on my blog... Guess I'll just wait on those cards and make some more with the files that will open.

For now I can open another one I want to use so...

Thank you so much for your help!!

I've noticed since I last posted that CCR is really slow. I've been getting a lot of Not Responding's so the problem might be at PC's end.

I gave up and decided to attack the ironing pile while I watched the Oscars! Cool

Do you mean Internet Explorer?
Or my internet provider?
Or wi-fi or not?
Did I mention I'm not a tech type person?

It just seems weird that most of my files will open just not the ones I designed with the Creative Card cartridge while it was a freebie.
I have 3 separate files I created while it was a freebie.
They worked wonderfully and opened with no problems at the time.

I can design with the cartridge now and the files will open.

My other files are fine. Thank goodness.
All other aspects of CCR are working fine.

I appreciate any help you can offer.
Like I said I have no voice right now and feel it wouldn't be kind to make some poor service person try to understand me right now.

You can only cut the freebies while they are still freebies. You cannot save things that you created while they were free and then come back and cut them once they are no longer free. Did I explain that right? LOL I think that was what your problem was with trying to open those files.

My problem is the files will not open at all.

I understand that I will not be able to cut with them until I purchase the cart but I still should be able to open them.

I can open other files I created when they were freebies.

These are the only three I am having issues with.

Another MB member said her file will not open for her either.

Since I am not having any issues with CCR or any of my other files or any files I design and open with that cart now it seems to me something happened on the PC end with our files when the cartridge was switched from free to not free.

Maybe they can be restored for us on the PC side?

I have already cut a lot of the cuts and made some cards I wanted to share on my blog but I need the cut sizes to do that.

Thanks

Perhaps if you have no other images from other cartridges in those files, they WON'T open after ProvoCraft shuts us off from those freebies. I had other cuts on the mat layers from other cartridges when the Creative Cards freebies were no longer available. The images from that cartridge were no longer on the mats, but I could open the file to work with the other images I placed there from other cartridges.....as I had planned to cut those out after the freebies went away, anyway....which I did.

I have since deleted that file. BUT, I know for a fact I could open it after they shut us off from using Creative Cards.
