Still plugging along here. Working a bit here and a bit there. Rheumatoid Arthritis has reared it ugly head and has become active here lately, I hate flare ups. When the hands cooperate I get a lot done. The doctor put me on steroids, so I should be back to normal(?) soon.

I layed in bed during the night and an idea came to me for the squirrel - something I had seen last summer when I was researching for another swap. So now to get going with that idea. A relief to have figured that out finally! lol

6 directives down, 2 to go...

Lucinda, I owe you a huge thank you for coming up with this squirrel directive!

Long story short....while working on the squirrel directive, I was pulling out all my trays of brads last night off of the shelf where they are stored and what did I discover behind there? 12, yes TWELVE!, rolls of ATG tape!

Though the joke is on me as just this past weekend, I couldn't understand why I had run out of ATG tape so fast, but just figured I'd used it all up this past year or so (cuz you know how we all do way too many swaps in a year's time!)....so I decided I had better order some on Monday and it already arrived yesterday. So boy did my stockpile of ATG tape replenish like magic! lol If only I had been slower to re-order that tape! lol

In any event, I'm still very happy to have found that missing ATG tape! And it's one less thing I have to worry about running out of now!

I have completed my last directive this afternoon! Hooray!

Want to take pics of what I've made for my own files and then bag up and type up the list for each person, but the crafting part is complete!

I won't be mailing until next Saturday.

I'm just so happy to be done as I really, really need to move on to my partner swap and work on my income taxes too! Ugh!

I really need to get going on this swap. The last month or so has been unusual around here. My husband went to China for 2.5 weeks, I hurt my ankle 3 weeks ago then twisted it last week ,and my father in law has been in the hospital for 3.5 weeks. The kids are on Spring break this week so hopefully I can find some time to craft. I will have everything mailed on time but I might be cutting it close.

Popping in quick before continuing my day - by end of week things should be back to 'normal' LOL

Wow - Gwynn - you are really doing great! Congrats on finishing!

Laura - totally awful about your ankle. Hope it is feeling better soon. Hope your FIL is doing ok as well. When it rains, it pours (at least that is how it seems).

Dh in China during it all - augh - my heart goes out to you as my dh also does trips like that - sometimes you find yourself asking, "really? Lord, are you sure I can handle all this? Glad He knows I can BigGrin " at least that is how I feel sometimes. On the plus side, if he takes some photos, you can have fun scrapping them!

Don't worry on timing - as long as it is mailed on time - no issues here BigGrin I don't expect anyone to feel they have to be early (unless they are newbies) as life tends to happen, but doing little chunks along the way sure helps. They are often my sanity breaks. LOL Who knew some paper, some glue and pretty bits of stuff could be so important Love

Take care everyone and have fun with the swap!

That is fine.

With all the snow and rain recently (and blizzard today), one reminder - please be sure all swaps are in a ziplock baggie. Today's mail was soaked. Luckily the scrapbook items were all in plastic!

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend and are getting set for Easter (I just realized it is this weekend).

Working on this swap, still not coming up with the right squirrel piece, and I need to do so in short order as it is due April 5th.

I have a lot complete, fairly simple, but I hope everyone likes them as much as I do. I almost put a few pieces of my set on a page the other day, but forced myself to wait until AFTER the swap LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL

Hope you are all enjoying this swap as much as I have been!

My weekly check in. I just finished my fourth week. Spring break was not as productive as I thought it would be. We did have a good time though. I took the kids to Lego Land, the aquarium, to a bouncy house place, to play laser tag, the arcade in addition to the normal activities.

Wonderful news! Glad it arrived safely.

Let me know if I didn't follow the rules as precisely as I could have or should have. But I did have fun creating for this swap and coming up with ideas for each week! And I hope everyone finds the items useful. (I, myself, am going thru one of those stages where I appreciate usefulness with scrapping items)

I am excited to receive back in a couple weeks!

I am sure you have done just fine (I will look later today).

Just so everyone knows, the rules/guidelines are more to help you figure out what is expected rather than exactly how to proceed. Loose interpretation is fine as long as you are sending quality work. This swap doesn't give a ton for the what as we all have so many fun ideas that I don't want to hold creativity backBigGrin BigGrin

Only a few times have I ever had to say anything - usually for new people who just didn't know

Sunnybrooke - I sent a pm - not sure if you have seen it yet, please reply once you do BigGrin BigGrin thanks (if you replied and I missed it, please send that as well - it has been hectic around here lately)

Lucinda...I am mailing tomorrow....priority. My daughter was hospitalized over the weekend with a debilitating migraine and we went up to her place to take care of things till her fiance was able to get there. He is here now and we are leaving about 7:00 tonight, so when I get home I will finish the last thing and mail tomorrow. I am so sorry.....it has been a hectic 2 weeks here for us.

been trying to get to the Post Office all day to no avail...dd and her fiance came down here today so she can recover with mommy watching her. She is out of work for the rest of the week at least. They are trying to pin point the trigger for this migraine as it was unlike the ones she had as a child. Tomorrow morning I am definitely going, mud, flood, hell or high water. I also have to pick up a large priority mail box as these will not fit in a medium. Either I made things too big or the mail boxes shrunk.

Sorry for the delay.
