Ladies, we are currently down to 7 swappers.

One had to pull out (communication is key - we are only one week in something just occurred to force a pull out - good to let me know now rather than later).

If someone else would like to try the spot, it would be awesome!

The items are not hard, but there are 8 items per swapper required. Rules are listed in the first post or two. Ask any questions.

Since we are one week in, I have someone who would do a hexagon object for a new joiner if it would help.

This is a ton of fun. Sorry to change the count this late in the swap.

I spent my evening last night putting all my ideas down on paper and even creating one for some of my ideas. Then I went to bed and laid there thinking up other ideas....so I think I am all set now! I'm going to make one for each directive and get everything pulled into a box so I can then just grab and craft as I go this next several weeks! lol

Lucinda, are there specific directions about how we package up? Do we put labels on the outside or can we type up description and cut out into rectangles to slide inside the bag, etc.? Or don't we individually bag everything up. Just put 8 items in one bag for that week?

Well, I guess we would have to bag up individually if what we made is in multiples, just to keep it organized.

Thanks (and maybe I need to go back and read the instructions again...)

I don't know if I put specifics for packaging on this thread (sometimes I miss a step between rounds).

The easiest is to
1) do a slip/piece of paper listing out the 8 week items (include the line of paper for the named brand week) - please include your message board name as well. We love to know who crafted the items. BigGrin
2) Put all eight swaps for each person into a ziploc baggie.

Summary: send 7 baggies (keep your own)- each with 8 swap items plus a descriptive piece of paper inside.

Some people prefer to bag each individual item before shipping - that is fine, but not necessary. Hope this all makes sense.

Sounds like you are off and running. I am still trying to figure out the what on my hexagon items (I don't always work in order) - I know what I want to use, now to come up with the specifics.

Ladies

Hate to change one week in, but we are starting the second week and I know some of us try to do some phenomenal items and I hate to see you go to extra work.

So, unless we have one more by midnight, 2/5 (Tuesday), I will drop this to 7 participants and hold there.

Closing with 7, so please adjust totals as necessary.

Tried to work on the 4 yesterday and my brain just went dead. Other than buying four items (even looked and nothing looked goodBlink), I just couldn't think.

Figure it was time for a break. Went back to sewing my bags for a while. Hoping for more inspiration.

I finally figured out week one!

However, I also was about brain dead when misting some pieces (yes, I am trying to figure that stuff out). Don't mist near the gypsy when at work. And if you forget - don't wipe the screen of the gypsy when it is busy cutting.

ROFL LOL LOL LOL

it all worked out, but really? I definitely had my brain in the off position at that time. Just happy a damp tissue worked to clean my screen.

How is this swap going? I am having fun experimenting, also discovered how NOT to cut some paper on my cricut. Took me almost 1/2 hour to clean the mat.

Those particular cuts, I hope, will work much better on an older, much less sticky mat BigGrin Ever have that happen?

Yep! Sometimes it's just easier to tape down thin paper on an old mat instead of attempting to use a new sticky mat. been there, done that.

I haven't worked on this swap this week as I am doing my altered mousetrap instead.

JCI....funny story. Last night we had a big family dinner here, my kids, DD fiancee, sons girlfriend, my brother and his kids and sister, brother in law and their kids. There were 14 of us all together. I made Spaghetti with Shrimp, clams and mussels. As the kids were clearing the table after dinner my daughter asked what she wanted me to do with the mussel shells and my 14 year old smart mouth said "probably her craft room, there are mouse traps, empty spools of whatever and silverware there. If you cant find it down here go look in moms craft room, and he turned and walked away. My family roared.....some people don't understand.

Denise - That is pretty funny! Sounds like here - dd was cleaning and found a box to toss, first removed the plastic for mom's scrap area as everyone knows that you don't just toss anything anymore BigGrin LOL

Gwynn - sometimes a lazy day is definitely needed.

Two down, two in progress (aka - trying to figure out exactly what I wantFlapper). Hopefully the two I have in pieces actually work this time - my mind can envision stuff that I wish it would tell my fingers how to put together. ROFL.

I finally started working on these. I strained, sprained my anterior ??? tendon ( runs from mid shin to arch of foot, affecting the ankle) on friday and have not been able to stand very long. I for some reason can not craft sitting down, I stand at the island in the kitchen. Yesterday, i finished the white week , this afternoon I finished the journal and started the squirrel themed week.

Laura - OUCH! that doesn't sound fun. Tendon injuries are always so painful. I injured my Achilles last year and it was awful - I also prefer to stand and scrap and boy did it take some getting used to to sit and scrap (without a group of people around to chat with Flapper ) Take care of yourself so you can heal.

Ds broke his thumb and they are worried about the shards ripping the tendon so he has a brace on his thumb right now (of course he is left handed and it is his left thumb - has to be held so he cannot bend it right now) - we find out next month if things are healing or he will need surgery or not.

One note - Long story, but I am having a ton of computer issues right now. So, if you post and I don't respond right away, you can email me at scraprageous@gmail.com. I will be checking emails at least once a day - at work if needed.

My baby sister is having a discectomy today, another sister had a nerve blocker last week...sheesh....sometimes I get tired of being the grownup.Hope to get things done after I drop the dog off at his beauty appointment. Ya know a boy has to look good for his public. Have a good day all

Nice to see those of you checking in BigGrin I managed to get logged in today!

If you have a chance to send another thank you/praise prayer on up, I would appreciate it. My younger brother and his 5 yr old dd wrecked this am and walked away. Ended up in about 2' of water (doesn't look that deep, but it is)

Definitely praising God and Thanking Him.

I received more pics of the vehicle and that they walked away is completely amazing. The good Samaritan that gave them a ride to a safe location was huge as both he and his dd were in the water. I don't know how my brother fit inside the cab of the truck after seeing more pics, but he got out and had to go in through the top to get his dd out of the back seat.

Car seats, seat belts and airbags all are good things - even when vehicle was airborne and flipping, they still worked. Comic relief - so did the electric windows when they put the truck on the flatbed to haul it in. LOL

He is fine (broken thumb only) and his dd had no injuries. She did reminded him to drive 'real slow' when he took her to school this am. God is so good!

Back to swap - how is everyone doing? I have a few weeks done, stumped myself on the squirrel day. Thought I had it figured out and it didn't go how I expected. How about you?BigGrin

I've been working right along today and have 3 directives done. Should have a couple more done by end of day Sunday. So that will about catch me up.

I have only jotted down ideas on the squirrel directive - not actually made a sample....and I feel stumped on that one also.

Gosh, I just looked to see exactly when you opened up this swap and it was way back on Jan. 7th! That seems like ages ago! Technically, if we were all doing one directive each week, we'd have 7 done now! lol

and I thought I was doing good with 3.5 done tonight.... Definitely need to stay concentrated on this swap this week!

I have 5 completely done and the 6th one 90% done. Hope to finish that up tonight - just lots of glueing....

Now, wish I could decide on what I'm going to do with the G45 and the squirrel directives!

I'm back from my vacation ... so glad I booked today as a holiday so I could veg for the day ... these 15 hour drives are exhausting, even for the passengers ... I have to get going on all my swaps as DGD is dancing 5 weekends in a row, starting the first of April, so I'm hoping to have everything done by then.
