In the circle there is a "bugs that bite forum", and I think there should be one here too for all of those Negative Nellie's and Neil's that are out there, so they have somewhere to vent, and we don't have to wade through the negativity to find the excellent posts, suggestions and projects that others have done.
Thanks! Flapper

Hopefully I won't be flamed for this, but I am not sure if you know that you can hover over a topic thread before you even click on it and you can read the beginning. This will let you know if it's a thread you really want to read or not.

I just really don't think making a separate forum and telling people they should post there actually helps much.

Just my opinion.

I would like to think we are all adults and can make the decision to read and respond to comments on our own......... Thanks for the reminder about using hover.

I am not sure how you define negative, I hope you aren't confusing it with an honest review or comment. I appreciate hearing about the good and bad. I feel that name calling is inappropriate and unnecessary, but I love a good discussion of the pros and cons.

We are all grown women here. In the past I could have been labeled a bug that bites but generally I'm a good person. Everyone has a rough day and says something they don't mean (I'm not that kind of bug I say what I mean...it just isnt nice) and not everything is roses and unicorns. Personally I'm more weary of people who but on that perfect facade than someone who really shares their authentic self. We all have something wonderful to add to the board and the ones that don't can easily be ignored. I like variety.

No thanks, I like to wade thru all the stuff, it is just other members with their opinion which I value!
I can handle all the so called "Negative Nellie's", they are just members who have strong opinions! Read or pass it by, reply or don't. BigGrin

Nah, this isn't the circle. I like the diversity here. It's easy enough to scan through and find what you want and leave alone what you don't want. LOL LOL

No there shouldn't be one for the negative people, they don't realise they are negative anyway

I'm not sure if a thread that is exclusive to the Negative Nellies is going to solve their problems. We all know they post negative remarks just to boil the blood of other MB members. So why give them a platform?

In a way it would be good, some post very negative things in just random posts. If they had somewhere specific to post we could avoid that whole threat altogether.
We are grown women here and yet that does not stop some people from posting negative things that are out of hand. Im not speaking about honest opinions about different products or anything, but blasting people or their opinions.

Honestly, if people are actually trying to be mean in their posts (I don't like nasty language and/or people calling other people names), I don't think they are going to bother going around looking for the Bugs that Bite forum. I think they are posting exactly where they want to post and they realize the Bugs that Bite forum is probably not going to be the place to "get to" everyone they want to "get to"!

JMHO!

Your right about that. Some people have nothing else to do than just post mean things. What should happen is PC should step up and block all of those users from being able to comment.

This sounds a little like a complaint/vent. Would it have to go in the proposed "bugs that bite" forum?

I did think of Pam too. But not negatively just her MB name.lol

Oh and people don't always know they seem negative. The written word can be taken so many different ways. Also sometimes people do post neg. on purpose and they won't just do it in a special place they want to get an effect. So I don't think that would work.

Maybe there should just be a thread for the "newbies" on what topics to avoid discussing...like subjects that were on the old MB that might cause a new person on this board to get their head bit off unknowingly. I'd really like to avoid those topics.

I'm not on here to fight with people I don't even know. Cricut and scrapbooking topics are my "happy time"...if I wanted to argue with someone and be called names...I could walk next door to my psychotic neighbors house and get plenty of that.

Tonight I learned of one topic to avoid on here.
Any other suggestions of things I should avoid?

I have to agree with this. They are just going to post wherever. The most recent one posted on 3 different forums on this new board with the same message. Negativity wants attention, so that's where the person/people are going to post/go.

I think it is very rude to refer to people who have concerns or who are not totally satisfied as "Negative Nellies". Name calling, labeling or stereotyping people can be considered negative as well. Freedom of speech is important and everyone has the right to voice their opinion. If you don't want to read something you define as negative, it's so easy to just click away from it. And of course, I think it's perfectly fine that you voice your opinion as well but I think it is poor message board etiquette to derogatorily label people.
