When setting up my imagine, at the callibration stage my imagine spits the mat out the back after printing and then doesn't recognize the mat and tells me to retry. I have tried 4 times. Any suggestions???
thanks

Is it printing at all? It does spit it out the back when the printing calibration is done. Then you pull out the mat from the back and flip your piece of paper over on the mat to do cutting calibration. Reinsert as directed. Are you even getting that far?

This happened to me late last night. I turned off the machine. I left the Nursery Tails cart in. I turned the machine back on and tried again. The machine immediately went to wear I left off calibrating and asked me to insert my mat with a white 12 x 12 paper in it. Be sure to push the mat in all the way in. It did not recognize my mat a second time. So I turned off the machine again and then tried again. The third time it worked. It recognized my mat and pulled it in and went through the rest of the calibrating process.

Hope this helps you.

Mine was doing that also and on page 32 of the manual it tell u how to make it manual calibrate. I did that and finally got a cut calibration. But it still when just trying to do a project spits the paper out the back so I just take it out and put it back in the front and it will grab it and print and cut. i know this is not the right way but it works till I can get a hold of PC and get it corrected.
Hope this works for you

Mine does the same thing with the mat. It takes it in, acts like it is working, then spits it out the back. I grab it quickly & put it back in & it takes it just fine. I don't think I will be sending it back. I think I can live with that.

HELP

I can't even get the ink alignment started on my machine. I followed the directions in the book and on the screen. Put in the correct cart for the update and when I was asked to load my mat, all it does is go in through the front and right out the back and all the while I can hear the noise like it wants to do it. When the mat goes through the back I get the "updating" screen again. Then it asks me to load my mat, I do that, and again it goes in the front and right out the back. Then the "updating" screen again. This has happened about 10 times. So I've turned it off and restarted and I still am having the same problem.

I first inserted the nusery tails when that finished
I inserted imagine more it updated and then I calibrated ink
firts it prints the bird then you do it again and it prints the lines and cuts
then you choosed a number and letter that best matches.

This is exactly what mine is doing. It just pulls the mat all the way through, makes a lot of noise, then goes to the main menu. I'm going to try putting the Imagine More cart in to see if that helps.

I tried the "imagine more" cart and I am still having the same issues.

I just watched a video on someone from here getting theirs started up and I noticed a screen prompt that I DID NOT even see while starting mine up, which was the "add your ink" screen.

I received mine today. And after it said that it was callibrating, it did tell me to retry twice. I turned it off and unplugged it. Then it worked. I also did the entire process with the nursery tails cartridge in place. I did not remove.

Good Luck. It was abit nerve racking and my mat is not sticky all that well.

Did you all try the instructions on page 32 of your User Manual? I tells you to shut off & hold top and bottom buttons on the left and turn on when bars show up release them, then do a manual calibration. That's what I had to do, then when I put a cartridge in it went into the cutting calibration and it works except I have to put the mat back in after it spits it out the back. I can live with that till I can talk to PC about it.

Yes I did the screen calibration. I can't get the thing to print to do the print callibration! It takes the paper in, I press go and apply pressure. It just goes and spits it out the back. Very frustrating!Mad

I guess I am fortunate. I got my Imagine today and had no problems setting it up and calibrating it but I did have a problem editing images from an older cartridge. Every time I tried the machine kept restarting plus it wouldn't read both carts at the same time. I resolved it by inserting both cartridges while the machine is on. I don't know if that's how it's done but it's the only way I can get both to work at the same time. Sure hope this is the extent of it and that you guys get your kinks worked out.
