I've posted a little in some of the other forums, but I wanted to introduce myself. My name is Judi and I'm from Texas! I'm new to Cricut - I am a teacher and our school purchased the Cricut for our use. I only used it a few times in April and I was hooked! After I knew I wanted one, and almost purchased one on the HSN website (gotta love their easy-pay), my husband asked what I wanted for Mother's Day and you can guess what I told him. He came over and played with the machine here at school during his conference period, (he's a teacher as well) and he really liked it - he went back to school and researched and lo and behold, he saw that the E2 was going to be released in a few days on HSN. He MADE me wait to order it until I was able to order the new one - I would have been happy with the older model.
Well, I called HSN the morning of the day it was supposed to launch and the rep told me it was coming up on her computer screen and I could buy it right then. I couldn't believe my luck - she said I was one of the first to order it - I had planned on staying up to order it right at midnight.

Anyway, I'm rambling - I now have the Gypsy (my sons pitched in and purchased it for me for mother's day) and about 16 cartridges (including the ones on the Gypsy and the E2). I REALLY love the machine and my only problem is that I don't have enough time to use it as much as I'd like. As soon as I get really good with it, I'm going to purchase the vinyl and make a car decal that says, "I'd rather be Cricut-ing!"

Hi and welcome to the message boards! Sounds like you are off to a great start with your cricut goods. I bought the gypsy when it launched in 2009 and just learned how to use it this month! LOL! I love it. If you have any questions, need help, just ask! Kathy

Welcome Judy it's good to have another teacher on the board! (there are a lot of us here) there are a lot of helpful talented people here so don't be afraid to ask questions (just like we tell the kidsLOL ). Just a word of warning there are a lot of people here who will be very happy to help you spend your moneyLaugh . You wIll find you are going to "NEED" paper, stamps,ATG,stickles ,cuddle bug, pro markets /copic markers and of course carts , carts , and more carts so do say you weren't warned!
You will have time to play once school is out.
