I purchased my expression about a year and a half ago and then found I had cancer. I just recently started to try and learn how to use it. I have Walk in my Garden and want to cut the cards to fit the A2 envelopes. I started with the first one in the book and cut it 4 inches and it is way too small. I then cut another at 8 inches and although it is the right size when it is folded, its too long. What should I do to cut these cards to the size of the A2 envelope? I need help bad.

I sometimes have difficulty trying to figure out sizes too. I am not the most computer smart person either but I use Design Studio to figure out what size to cut. You can download the trial version for free ( It will only let you cut with the cartridges that came with your Cricut) but you can play on the screen mat with images from any cartridge. Just pick your cartridge, Put in the size you think and select the image you want. It will appear on the mat and you will know what size it cuts as. There is a new computer program called Cricut Craft Room that is supposed to be easier than DS coming out in April they say but the free trial version of DS could help you in the mean time.

I've heard alot of people have trouble cutting images for the right card size. They should add this to every booklet that have cards. For now maybe they could make some kind of a list along with the cart list. Yeah I know that's ALOT of workOhMyGod .I know I wouldn't be doing it,lol but maybe someone could.....some dayWink .

Welcome to the message board, Janie!

I cut a card on the second row of the overlay...2nd card on the row...

For an A2 envelope...cut at either 5 1/4 inches or 5 1/2 inches. The 5 1/4 inches size will allow room for lots of layering. The 5 1/2 inches size is a tight fit, but will allow very shallow 3D layering.

FYI...if you want to use an A6 envelope...cut the card at 5 3/4 inches

I went back and cut the first card. The sizes are the same for this card as the one that I posted. These cards are narrow, but really pretty.
