I bought some onesies to decorate with fabric for my soon to be born niece or nephew...I thought it would be easy - just cut some animal shapes and iron them on to the onesie - but I just realized that basically any animals on any of the carts have layers - so my question is, how do I work with layers and fabric??? I've got the fabric, and I bought Heat n' Bond, but I don't really know where Huh to go from there...Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Hey, hokie, welcome to the MB!BigGrin

Once you put the stablizer on your fabric, you should be able to cut it just like paper and layer it as you would paper. You might want to start with a simple cut rather than a detailed or intricate cut.HTH

In other words, you iron the base cut down and then you iron the layers on in the order you want them (if they overlap). Of course, this is assuming you are using the Heat and Bond. After you iron the Heat and Bond onto your fabric and let it cool, you're ready to cut out your shape. I leave the backing on. Then, when you're ready to iron onto your onesie, peel the backing off and iron on.

Does that help? Be sure to show us your onesies! - Char
