I used to leave my laptop on an open all day and would come in randomly and read/post on the MB. Now I have to log back on every time if I am gone for a period of time and it is just a pain so I just don't do it. I also am just not as comfortable with this MB. I haven't quite figured out how to read posts since my last visit which is how I read the other MB. I don't like having to go to each seperate forum to read posts.

Go to My Topics in the top right corner and then Active topics (if that's not the tab you pop in on) to see today's posts. BigGrin

I really enjoy the new MB. The old one was agonizingly slow. I think people did get turned off by that and hopefully PC will get this log-on thing fixed soon. I haven't posted anything in ages but only because there is something wrong with my scanner at home.

i love this new mb and post more. i don't get the frustration with logging in. when i click on login the page pops up and has my email and password saved and i click the button and i'm logged in...

2 clicks and about 2 seconds.

that's much less time than hitting the refresh button on the old board after leaving the page open and coming back later to check things out.

I really like the new board although I haven't had a lot of time to spend on here yet .... It does seem there are fewer posts/posters than the old board though .... I had stoped going to the old board for a while because of how slow it was and the pages never wanting to open... Then I kinda got use to not reading the board and started spending more time scrapping and making cards instead of just reading about other people doing it ...lol ... I also started reading people's blogs more, but have now started coming back to the board daily, especially while things are slow with work ....I really dislike having to log in every time I come back to the board and hope that's one of the first changes to be made ....

I have noticed the same thing. This new board is never as busy as the old one, I wonder if we lost too many people while the other one was so slow for so long?

DING DING DING! We have a winner! I think Diane is right on... for six months the old board was minimally usable. They promised a fix for so many months before they delivered that I think most folks just left in disgust. PC set up a volatile situation with the circle, causing the divide that resulted, and now we have a nice, fully functional board with hardly anyone left to post on it. Yay.

My thoughts exactly.

I have noticed threads moving VERY slowly here...

I don't mind though. I figure sooner or later, it will snowball!

It is ghostly quiet over here and not as exciting. I wonder if it is because we have to log in each time? I do miss the old boards alot!

I think people are still getting used to the new board. Give them some time and they will find their way here again. It's only been up for a little while and people may not even know it is up and running faster now. I visit both message boards for inspiration. Of course, I end up buying more cartridges and items to go with the inspiration.BigGrin

I think we will get hoppin again. It will just take time for people to get use to the new board. I didn't like this board at first but since it was the only choice I had and I like to talk here is where I would be! LOL

Now I am getting more use to it so it isn't too bad. There are thinks I like better about it for sure! Like I can actually POST on this board! LMAO

I think a lot of it is that there is just too much to keep up with. Boards, blogs, Facebook, etc.

I think part of it is that it's a new board and a lot of people will be lurking until they get used to it. Also active times right now with school, football, upcoming holidays. Seems like my time is very limited when it comes to my crafting and board hopping time. I go back and forth between both boards, too.

Neither do I. I got an account because you can't see facebook accounts without one. I'm so unimpressed.
A lot of people use the game applications on it.

I think there are two factors at work here:
1) Facebook-everyone who is a contest junkie who visited this mb is now liking their favorite products on FB and getting info about contest there.
2) This NO advertising policy is driving many of us to new places to promote our products. I found most of my customers via the Cricut MB. I make dust covers fashioned like handbags. Now I can't promote here. The economy is bad enough that I cannot support my Cricut cartridge habit, now PC is taking away my mad money resource and I am no longer buying paper. I will have to spend a lot more time promoting elsewhere and visit the MB less and less.

I jump back and forth all the time, but yes, I haven't spent as much time on either board lately. Trying to get used to the Imagine.
