I just read your blog post on the presents card and I am scraplifting it for Cards for Soldiers.
I have a ton of christmas paper scraps all over my queendom (my scraproom) actually it looks like someone threw up Christmas paper in here. So your card will use them up. I don't do string ribbon etc.I get it tied in knots so am using a bow cut from Christmas Cheer. Will try to post a pic this afternoon. Anyway love your blog and Tons of Thanks.

LMAO!!!! That card is super simple to make and barely uses any paper. Funny you should mention about the bow. My friend LGuild said she can't tie bows so she would just cut one! LOL

That IS a really cute card. I have tons of scraps too and just can't seem to use enough of them because everytime I go shopping I feel the urge to buy more paper. I'm a paper a holic, I know, its not really a word. Blushing

It is so a word! LOL!

Most of the MB members are paper a holics. We should really start a 12 step program but no one would come.......we're always at the store looking for neat paper to buy! LOL!

Scrappinmamaw, if you're in Central Time Zone, they're gonna get a ton of these cards since we both do CFS! BigGrin BigGrin

When I saw it on Okie's blog I told her that I was going to steal it and use up some more of the Christmas papers I'd bought recently.

But, I don't have the Christmas cartridge so I'll be tying bows until the cows come home!

LOVE this too... I'm totally scraplifting this...

Check out this link for tying perfect little bows with a fork... I use this all the time... I have a little jar full of bows on my shelf because I make them when i'm bored!!! Everyone looks at me funny at a crop because I have a fork sticking out of my tool tote!!! I need to find a really big fork next...

Lguild, I'm in CFS also, should I add this to my cards? LOL. I'm East though so it would probably be OK. I am going to lift from Okie though.

Okie, what a great card, thanks for sharing. Fabulous idea. I'm not good at bows either.

I did totally steal Okie's card idea and got 7 done while she and I were on the phone talking about tying the bows with a fork.

Here's one interpretation of her card. I used a Platinum Planet Brilliance ink pad to do the background swirls. The swirl looks pretty on the plain white cardstock.

I'm not only bow challenged, I'm totally challenged when it comes to picking out paper! LOL!

A while back I even printed the instructions on how to tie the bow on a fork. But it's so much simpler to buy the pre-made bows in the Christmas section at HL!
LOL LOL LOL

I am totally scraplifting this card too! It is super cute! How about foil paper? or embossed foil??

You could use it for just about any occasion with the right paper!

Linda is also challenged when it comes to even finding her premade bows!! She searched for probably 5 minutes, kept saying "I know I put them in a container so I could find them" and went all over her room only to find they were sitting in front of her! *okie falls out of her chair laughin*

Hey, now! YOU'RE GOING TO GET OLD SOMEDAY TOO! And you'll spend a LOT of time trying to find something that you put someplace so you COULD find it! LOL!

The little red bows on the card in the photo are what I was looking for.

Look in post 11 of this thread - the link is in there for the "fork method"

Love the cards you did Okie - I can see using this same thing on layouts! Thanks!!!!
