I called support about my nonsticking mat. This is what Beth said to do.

1. Rub the glue with that triangle scraper thingy.. it will activate the glue.

or

2. Run some warm water over the mat, gently rubbing with your fingers to activate the glue, then allow to air dry.

Hope this helps!

Yes, I noticed that the mat was not very sticky. Thanks for the tip!

I accidentally printed on my mat (was trying to use a scrap), and I used a baby wipe right away and the ink came right off. It did not seem to affect the mat.

I will try these things and see if they work for me. I was just thinking about what I was going to do when this mat completely quit working and the mats are not available to us yet. Or are they?Laugh Anyone know?

When the sticky runs out on these mats, wouldn't we be able to return to our stand-by remidies for the old mats? Is there really that much differance in the adheasive? I'll probably go back to using my Crafters Companion.

I washed mine in warm water and it is actually really sticky now! I am shocked that worked. I will say the 2 top corners are still a little shy of adhesive but it worked well on the rest of the mat.

mine was not super sticky but it seems to actually be getting stickier the more I use it. No idea how that is happening but i'm happy. Almost like the glue really did need to be activated.

I have noticed that the more I have used my mat, the stickier it got so I think the activation thing is key. Strange!!

ThumpUp I did the exact same thing about 2 hours ago. I failed to use the "load last" function and cut/printed over an empty space. Hopefully it's not too late for me to wipe my mat clean.

OMG! Sorry about quoting myself. LOL but the ink came off so quickly -- what else could I do!
Wow. It covered like a 3x3" area on my mat. I cut a tiny square of wet-wipe and it came off immediately. Needless to say, the wet-wipe technique didn't do anything for the cuts I made into the mat but who cares? I fully expect to use my combination of "Stick Away" and "Stick and Spray" or my big Zig glue sticks to use this mat F-O-R-ever! LOL That should take care of any of the cuts.
Thanks for sharing!

My mat was sticky to begin with and I do notice that the more I use it the stickier it gets. Weird but cool lol.
