Just curious if anyone here has bought from Taymeag2010 on eBay? What is the return address on your package? I find it really strange that this individual always has a ton of LONG RETIRED cartridges for sale that no one else can EVER seem to find in stores. Always listing them as New, Ready to Ship. Is anyone else suspicious?

I have bought from them last year with no problems. Sorry can't remember the return address. If you pay with paypal and there is a problem, they will refund the money. Hope this helps.

I won one of their auctions last January (2011). The transaction was fine. They have had many auctions on EBAY for a very long time.

I just purchased from them this month. There was a glitch with PayPal, where I paid and they couldn't "accept" my payment. I emailed and they responded very fast and even shipped the same day. They said the problem was with PayPal. I would say that was true as they shipped the product.

HTH.

I just got a package from them a few days ago. I don't know the return address off the top of my head, but I can tell you it's the exact same address as proudparents2005, who was/was not actually (depending on who you talk to) Provo Craft. They are located in Utah.

I bought from them recently and had no problems. I just won three more of their auctions and have tracking numbers they provided.

I really wasn't questioning whether they shipped quickly or not. Just wondered whether they were indeed Provocraft going back and making more of the cartridges they have said were retired. And if the last person to respond (post right above mine) is right, it was just as I suspected.

I did. The return address is not EXACTLY the same as PP2005, but from the same town in UT. My cartridge arrived fast. But one interesting bit: When I looked at my PayPal recipt, it was from Provo Craft & Novelty, Inc. OhMyGod Make that what you will......

No I have not bought but I was looking at those listings last night and wondering the same exact thing as you! Where do they get them all!

They don't have to "get" them from any where. They can just produce more of the ones they are claiming are "retired". They are retired as far as we the consumers are concerned but it takes very little effort for them to continue to reproduce for themselves. In my opinion, it appears they closely monitor eBay and whatever seems to bringing in the "big bucks" they just make more of to pad their pockets. I will NEVER buy from them!!!

I have bought 3 Imagine cartridges from this seller in the last 2 weeks & have never had a problem purchasing from them. My receipt also shows Provocraft Novelty, so maybe they have purchased an abundance of retired carts directly from PC. They are a very reliable seller!

You are missing the point. I realize they ship your items quickly. I just think it is strange when they charge your credit card, it shows up as Provocraft. And they have always have a large number of items that the average crafter can not find anywhere, so it is almost as they are reproducing for themselves only items that we could never find in the stores. I don't like doing business with any retailer (in this case wholesaler)who works like this.

I have been buying from taymeag2010 since I bought my Cricut. Usually I can find cartridges for up to 60% off. I did a little research and found some people wondering if this eBay seller was Cricut/Provocraft. I'm going to have to go with yes. I just bought a couple cartridges from taymeag2010 and a couple from Cricut.com. The Cricut package came FedEx while the eBay one came USPS, but they were both from the exact same address.

I prefer to get cartridges from the eBay seller because they are normally cheaper than buying from the Cricut website. They ship extremely fast and the products are always as described. Great seller either way and I get the cartridges I wantBigGrin

I'd say 3/4 of my cartridges were bought from the taymeag2010 account on eBay. I have gotten some great deals and they do ship very fast, much faster than ordering from the Cricut web site and very reasonable shipping charges. I've never noticed that they had anything really rare or retired for sale. For example, I don't think I've ever seen them list the Hello Kitty cartridge which seems to be the hardest to get. Actually, not too hard as there are always listings from various sellers but it costs a fortune! So I don't think they're "making more" of the retired cartridges. If there are listings for cartridges that are actually retired, maybe they just had a lot of stock left, but every one I've bought was not retired.
