It's been a while since I've done much serious scrapbooking. Lately, I've been much more into card-making. However, I've decided to do a scrapbook of me. I don't have any children so there won't be anyone 50 years from now saying "Wow, Great-grandma looked just like me at that age." or anything like that. But on the flip side of that, there won't be much of a legacy I can leave either. So I've decided to make a scrapbook of the history of me so anyone in the future who might ever wonder 'what ever happened to crazy old Aunt Lisa?' might have a place to look. It's about all the legacy I can leave so I'm going to do it. Your prayers for this endeavor will be greatly appreciated.

I think you have the right mind set about this! It doesn't matter if you have kids or not. It's about you and your own legacy! I hope you share your project as you create.

I've often thought of doing a Book of Me. Mainly because my kids never believe I had a life before they were born! LOL

Back on the old MB, there was a group that did their books together and each month they had a different theme or question to answer and at the end of the year, they had beautiful 12 pages histories of themselves. Go for it! I don't think you will regret doing it! BigGrin

I have done a few pages in a book for myself but really need to add some more. This sounds like a great project.

Great idea! Even with kids (or grands) the albums are always about them and we, the scrapbookers, leave ourselves out. It is like we were just there observing to take the pictures and scrapbook the event. My sister just finished doing a family tree album for she and her dh's sides of the family and it was so fun reading about the ancestors and the ones she knew little tidbits about made it even better! I am sure they will appreciate a book about you and future generations will be glad you did it!

I think that's an awesome idea. It's not "cut in stone" that one has to scrapbook their kids or grandkids, only. BigGrin I hope you share your book w/ us!! BigGrin

Thanks for your encouragement everyone. The idea came to me when I was going through some old stuff for a yard sale last week and it seemed like everything I picked up had so many memories attached to it. I guess that's why I'm such a pack rat. So I thought I should start writing some of those memories down. Then I ran across some old photos of myself. It won't be something I could possibly do in a weekend, but maybe a page or two at a time.

You mean I actually had a life once???? What a shocker since according to my kids, I was around in the dinosaur days-so the next generation if I do a scrapbook about me would get to see how fun it was riding the dinos to the caves and home!!! I do love your idea and you now have me thinking of doing one of my life and one of my husbands life. Great ideas!!!!!
