I need to mention that I shamelessly and totally scraplifted the Gold thank you cards from Taylored Expressions' blog, where a lady by the name of Wanda Guess created the card using some of their new release dies. I actually didn't even come across it until last minute, but when I did find it I just had to make it for COB as I thought it is just beautiful and so rich looking and would make for a wonderful card to have for someone special in the armed services.

SO I can not take credit for the design or the idea.

And then I saw where a lady by the name of Deb Moon dressed the prima dolls in patriotic clothing and put sunglasses on them to take away from the fact they are faceless and so I had to shamelessly scraplift that idea too! But again, it was a great idea for COB's RWB swap box and her daughter or daughter's female friends, etc. in the armed services.

So I hope the original crafters won't be too upset at me! lol It was for a good cause!

These Prima doll stamps are adorable and fun to work with, even if they are so tall! lol Between several blogs using these dolls on their mixed media canvases and stamping script across the body parts and then seeing them all dressed up for a holiday....they have caught my attention this month, for sure! And they are cheap if you buy them at J's.com when they go on sale.

COB wow what a wonderful box from Gwen. Love all of it.

Gwen another great job as usual. I have been looking at the prima stamps but have not bought them yet but this really gives a good reason to buy them.

Love the not so mini mini.. have to watch that tutorial for sure.

Great box Gwynne made for COB. Super job on everything.

Love the gold cards!!!

If the girls are stamps, how did you get clothes, etc. on them? Or are they just colored with Copics? They came out really pretty.

Jean, you stamp again on the print paper you want for the dress or headband or sweater and cut it out and layer it onto the body. No different then playing with paper dolls and dressing them! lol remember those days way back when....

I used copics on the hair is all. I used a shiny black gel pen on the shoes.

Everything was just wonderful - still mesmerized by the not-so-mini miniDrool Love Watched a few of the videos this morning and can see that it's not difficult but very time consuming. Will definitely be making a few of these in the near future; I love the sturdiness of it.

In regards to the doll tags, I've watched videos on that type of thing (repeat cutting & layering)and I do not have the steady hands or patience for it, so it's always nice to receive something I'll never do!

Lindy's sprays are my new obsession and although I have acquired a lot recently I did not have that shade! (Rudolph's Nose Red) I've not tried any of the Goosebumps sprays yet so it'll be fun to try a new product even though my wallet is secretly hoping I don't care for it...Scared LOL

The mousetrap is super cute and I understood the meaning behind it w/o the PM. I really appreciate the support.

The cards are very fancy! It was nice of you to give credit where due; no harm in scraplifting!

The goodies were great, they will all get put to good use. If I had more room I'd probably get an applicator tool for each color of distress but until then I go through lots of foamies. I'm sure I'll find the perfect photo for the frame and the basket/box will make a great decor item when I finish the makeover.

Thanks again for everythingBigGrin

THAT'S what I love about it too COB! The sturdiness!

I'm glad you are enjoying your items and it was way too much fun creating for you with you feeling extra patriotic these days, understandably. It was simple to make choices actually and I was so excited to get some use out of my patriotic collection of stash.

******

I just checked DC and Gail's box is halfway across the country so maybe she'll even receive it a day early on Friday! Wouldn't that be awesome!

It's been a great swap everyone!

It just dawned on me that I checked out pics of what Gail sent Terri on Terri's blog but then never came back here to comment.

I'm assuming the brown boxed frame is your take for summertime mudpies and once again I see someone had some fun getting into the grunge scene! lol

Terri will put the TH goodies to good use too on future projects, for sure! Always a safe bet there.

Very pretty paper on the banner!

Nice job Gail.

Nice job Gail.

Gwen: thanks for the comments. The frame is covered with metal embossed sheets; used a combo of alcohol inks and acrylic inks. The border is a sticker! Yeah for summertime grunge.
I am a total sucker for Graphic 45; love a place in time! And, that was my first banner

Love the Prima Doll tags! I did get some, but haven't done anything with them.. Thanks for the inspiration Gwen!

Just checked on Gail's DC# and I see it passed thru Bells Garden in CA. And it's still early on the west coast...so I have no idea how cloes Bells Garden is to her...but sounds to me like she'll have a swap box delivered before Saturday!

That would be awesome if it even was today! 2 days early! Not sure that that is even possible! lol But one can hope!

So stay tuned for delivery of the last swap box!

I looked at the pics on your blog, Lucinda - and I love the picture of the "L" with the cricut bug antennas! Really finishes off the idea of the putting the bug on a cup like that.

Great job and super good ideas. I imagine that western frame fits perfectly into Lucinda's kids' lifestyle up there in no man's land!

Thanks Gwynne and a big thanks to Kelley. I wasn't to sure about steampunk but I'm glad I tried it. Kelley was great with helping and answering all my questions about this technique.

I love seeing the rest of the boxes..it is always great to see how we have our own take on the directives.

Thanks for hosting a great swap..looking forward to the upcoming holiday swaps

Thanks for posting some pics on your blog Terri.

Nice take on the RWB theme for the snowmen!

And nice ideas on everything else to give Gail a good sampling of these types of swaps.

I keep paying attention to all the mixed media canvases on blogs....and am slowly preparing to put my hands to work at attempting one sometime soon. Or atleast that is what I keep telling myself!
