I just watched a video with instructions on how to use the punch board. I think the reason they are off is because we are using the number on the ruler part of the board for all 4 sides. The guy in the video only used that number for the first measurement and then turned the paper, used the pointy thing on the puncher to line up with the previous score line you made and then punched and scored. Do the same on the remaining two sides. I did this for a 5 x 7 envelope and my punch board is no longer too short. Try it this way and see if this doesn't work better for you. My envelopes were way off before I did it this way.

I hope that's how everyone is using the envelope punch board since that is one of the "key" selling points. . .measure only once and create your envelope. I've seen several videos and they all show it that way. If there wasn't a problem with the measurements printed on the board, I don't think WRMK would have made a new chart but they would have said "watch the video because you're doing it wrong".

Regardless, I'm glad it works for you.

Scrapalette, there was another video on their website, and this woman was using the ruler all the way around the paper and that's why the board seems too small. Doing it as I previously stated makes it so that the board isn't too short for the paper. I hope I explained it right. I thought I was just helping some out with this info as so many were having problems. Flapper

Thanks for posting these instructionsBigGrin . I was doing it wrong the first time that I tried it. It works.BigGrin I did several different sized envelopes, and they all came out fine! The only thing that I find difficult to do is to punch it. I think I need to stand up to punch it, to get a little more oomph into the punch. Thanks again for posting the right way to do it. I also noticed as I was using it tonight, it says right on it to align the score mark with the pointed guide.Blushing Guess I missed that the first few times, because I thought I had to measure each time. Much easier doing it the right wayLOL Thanks for helping me to be able to use this correctly!BigGrin I really appreciate it.

garagesaler, the punch shouldn't be that hard to use. Mine is really easy. Maybe check to see if there is something wrong with the blade. Someone on this mb was getting jagged cuts and found out there was a nick in the blade. She is getting a replacement sent to her I believe.

That was me. Other than the jagged cuts when I punch the places to fold the card it is awesome. It is very easy to do. I watched several videos on you tube before I ordered it so when I got it I already knew how to do it. They told me they would be sending me a replacement. I forgot to ask how long it would take to receive it. The board I have now has the wrong settings on some of the sizes. Hopefully this one will have the right ones.I am still glad I ordered it. It is a wonderful tool. Making envelopes now is so fast. I am not making any because of the jagged cuts but when I get my new one I am going to get busy. Hope they really send me a replacement. Having faith in them. I think the most important thing is to make sure the score line is perfectly lined up each time you turn the paper.

Have fun
