Hello all! I told you I might do some posts to keep us communicating and getting to know each other. So, I hought we could share what crafty thing/s we are doing this week. I am making 22 graduating teddy bears from the TBP cart for an MB friend. I also plan on making a few cards, including one for my sister in Christ, Katie, who is still having health problems and needs lots of prayers.

I am also going to be calling everyone in my family with Internet access to vote for my Bride Bear on Melody Lane's blog. LOL She is having a Teddy Bear contest, and which ever bear gets the most votes wins! There are some really great bears in the contest....good for ideas when making your own. You can find the link to the bears under her January 23rd post that is titled "Extreme Fonts Contest". Check them out, and if you think mine deserves a vote, please vote for me. Thank you, and sorry for the shameless plug. My bear is pictured below, and is the fifth bear in the top row on Melody's blog. I actually made 12 of her for a Teddy Bear Parade Swap that got cancelled here on the MB, so I entered her in Melody's contest instead. The winner of the contest receives two different sets of glitters....love sparkly things! I will try to post a direct link to the voting page when DH is able to help me. Voting is open now and runs to Feb. 6th. Blessings, GG.

Thank you so much for the extra goodie GG! I can't wait to see all of the wonderful paper!

This week I hope to finish the Valentine's for my 9 year old's class. I made a bunch of teddy bears from Teddy Bear Parade for their "store" (they earn "money" throughout the year, learn how to deposit, add, etc.) and the bears sold out quickly at their holiday sale. Many of the kids asked me to do teddy bears for Valentine's Day, and they are so cute (both the kids and the bears)I could not say no!

I am also hoping to have an extra hour or so so I can go through my patterned paper and have everything ready when the box reaches my door in a few weeks.

Hope everyone has a wonderful, healthy week!

Love I actually voted for you, yesterday! I LOVED your Bear! Do you have any extras that you could trade with me? I'll make a bear just to swap with your bride. She is gorgeous!

I've been working on doing the Whoo's your Valentine CTMH KIT for my son's Valentine Day Party. I got two kits since you HAVE to give all the kids in the class a valentine. I'm also working on y Hubbie's card. I got the Bodacious Bev stamp from Kenny K. LOL I hope he doesn't blush!

Alicia...I will send you one of my bears as soon as I get them back from the hostess of the now defunct swap. You needn't make one for me, I would love just to send it as an RAK. Thank you so much for your vote, and for the sweet comment you left on Melody's blog. GG

Mailman brought me a box of paper! (He was very unhappy about having to manipulate my driveway in the snow though...) I only looked through it quickly but I saw some I'll definitely be snatching up BigGrin Don't worry I'll most likely be putting in more that I take since I have so much to share! I'll have it on it's way to Penny Weds. morning; I could drive it to her faster than the mail will take since I see she's less than an hour from me LOL LOL

Yay 2 more people and then it comes to me !!!

I am currently working on making Valentines for my kids' class and my Neighbors kids class too (total of 140) they are going to be super cute. (she's helping me too).
I also am working on cards for my card group, and working on the current winter home made swap, 2/3 items finished there. Life is super crazy, I fell last night and tried breaking my toe. Over the weekend I did manage to get 2 pages scrapped. and i'm SOO looking forward to an upcoming scrapbook overnighter. (with Jessica)

CraftyOldBat....Thank you for letting us know the box arrived. Do not forget to choose a gift! Again, ladies, they are just a small token of my gratitude. I so want this swap to be successful!

Birdseye....OMGracious me....I am so glad you did NOT try too overly hard to break your toe. Glad you are OK, and sounds like you are one busy lady. So nice of you to do the neighbor's Valentines as well.

Alicia....my guys are past the party years...sniffle, sniffle....I miss them making their Valentine boxes and helping me with their cards. Have fun!

Lesa....selling the Teddy Bears was a great idea. I am thinking of making a set of bears with all the outfits for Christmas gifts for the boys' younger cousins. I am going to laminate them, and thinking of using Velcro as a means of keeping on the clothes.

Blessings, GG.

COB....thank you for mailing on time and with a DC#. You have us off to a perfect start! Gold star for youLOL LOL LOL ! GG

Penny....please let us know when you receive the box. Thank you! GG

Ladies....just a small maintenance thing.....if you feel the box needs replaced at any point during the Swap due to damage or needing more space, please feel free to do so, and just PM me to let me know. It is also very important, especially at this time of year, to put the paper in the provided bags inside the box. This protects the paper if the box should somehow get damaged, or end up in a mud puddle or pile of snow. Thank you! GG

I mailed 4 pkgs. at once, 2 priority and 2 First class. One to KS, one to FL, one to CT and one to WA and they're all due to arrive on Friday?? The post office is like the airlines; I've frequently had to go west to go south and my packages go north to go west!

I tracked the package. It went north to NH and now it is on it's way south to CT.
We live about 25 minutes from each other, seems kind of crazy.

Will do. Sorry you missed out this time. When this round ends, we will decide whether or not to do a second round. If we do not, I will host another one of these paper swaps in a few months. I have a few others interested who missed the original sign up as well. I will be sure to PM you on what is decided, so you have a chance to join in on the fun! GG

Funny things those compass points... I-95 is a north-south interstate but goes eat-west in CT (grew up there). And not too far from where I live now, you can go north on 59 and south on (I think) 77 on the same piece of road. So it's no wonder the PO is a little screwed up!!LOL LOL LOL

It sounds like a couple of you live in CT. I grew up there and am familiar with it. I am now living right on the CT border in NY. We should all get together and craft if we are close by!

This weekend is a busy one for us. My son has a birthday party to attend on Saturday and then we are all going to a friend's house for a Super Bowl Party! Enjoy your weekend everyone.

Can't wait for the box to get to me!
