So I've not been using my Cricut too much, but started here within the last week. I was simply cutting letters, nothing exciting, and my mat messed up. Not a big deal, so I thought, just stopped it, unloaded, turned it off, and let it sit. A little while later I turned it on to start again, got interrupted and turned it off so it wasn't just sitting there. Now it won't turn on at all. The hubby checked my power supply and it's getting power like it should. Any suggestions??? I want to cry!!

I think there's a reset button on all the machines, but I'm not sure. Open the door on the front and move the -- make sure it's turned off -- carriage over to the left. There should be a red button in the corner you just moved it from. Push it. Then turn it on and try again. I hope this works for you. I know it's frustrating.

BTW which machine do you have?

here are the reset instructions however if you can't turn it on I am not sure what to do

Instructions

1
Turn on the machine, with no cartridge installed. Roll the Speed, Size and Pressure dials all the way down to the lowest possible setting on each.

2
Grab the blade assembly with two fingers and pull the carriage gently all the way to the left. Behind where the carriage usually sits is a red button. Press and hold the button for three to five seconds and release.

3
Go back to the three dials marked Speed, Size and Pressure, and roll each one all the way up and down three or four times.

4
Press the Cut button, then turn off the machine. You will need to let the machine sit for 15 to 20 minutes to clear the memory.

5
Load a cartridge, turn the machine back on and try it out. If you are still experiencing problems, you may have a defective machine. You will need the receipt to return it to the manufacturer.

hope this helps

Hi, I have a create. It's about 3 years old now. I haven't had any issues up to this point so it is frustrating :(

Thanks, I tried this, we'll see what happens. Sadly I've had it for about 3 years now, haven't used it a whole ton until the last few weeks when I've actually been able to. Received it as a gift and unfortunately didn't get the receipt. Thanks for your help!
