Well Amanda
I said you can never have to many machines but if I had to choose I would go with the cricut expression 2
the mat is virtual and you caN SEE WHAT the shape looks like before YOU CUT it Hope That help with you decision.

To make boxes you are going to need the Expression or the Expression2. Tags Bags and Boxes would be my guess...haven't seen placecards but they probably are on a cart somewhere....google mycuts...it's a site that will find cuts for the Cricut. Good Luck.

Hi Amanda, I "only" have the expression, but It's been able to do anything I need so far. As far as cartridges, I got Tags, Bags, Boxes, and more at a really great price as part of a cartridge lot on Ebay. $45.00 for TBBM and 3 other cartridges. It's generally way more than that, and not easy to find since it's retired now, but I would agree that it's a really good one for your purposes. To get some other ideas, I just googled "Cricut Wedding Favors" and lots of things came up.

http://www.google.com/se...l9l0l258l2200l0.5.6l11l0

If you find anything you like, you could probably check the link for the picture and see what cartridge was used. There are other cartridges that have favor boxes too, so this is maybe a way you could check what cartridge would suit your purpose best.

Oh, and I found this link to a prior post. She did some beautiful things that might help too. http://www.cricut.com/me...eboard/tm.aspx?m=5929217 I would just do searches on youtube and google for specific things and they'll lead you to blogs, instructions, videos, etc. And ask away here. Everyone is so knowledgable and helpful. You'll have great time playing.

I have both the expression and the e2...completely love them both, but the e2 has such great features with the virtual mat! Also, Wall Decor & More has a number of place cards that would work out well for a wedding.
