I have a Cricut Expression, and I've only done two simple projects. Both were cards for a play and a casino night. My daughter is at a performing arts summer camp, and they are doing a play about a family that owns a piano but wants to buy a t.v. I wanted to use the Cricut to make a banner to advertise the show, but I am not sure how to do that. I bought the cartridge with music instruments on it because there was a piano and music notes on it. I need to make a large piano plus letters that will stand out. If any one has any suggestions with specific instructions, I would greatly appreciate it. The show is show opening is August 17, 2011. Thank you.

Are you doing vinyl/paper on canvas/paper or the triangle type banner?

Easiest would be the triangle type I would think.

Try going to you tube, they always have great teachers there and it is visual too.

Welcome to Cricut.

Welcome...sounds like you purchased the Quarter Notes cart? I have that one. Need more information to help you out, like the post ahead of this one..what are you cutting it out with? Vinyl or papers? What size do you need to make the sign? Once you know that its pretty easy to put in your mat, set the size, chose what you want to cut and push cut. Also it helps to look in the book, i found that out recently when i wanted to layer something. I did a bag using the girl sitting at the piano and some notes. Here it is.
